I am also getting married in 6 weeks and had been dreading the photos. I found a long pleated dress in mint and gold (second wedding) and it looks great no matter my weight. I had been stressing to get into a smaller ivory dress and I gained 7 pounds back!!! Because I was stressed. Now that I decided on the more flattering…

It helps to forgive yourself for gaining it back and move forward looking at each day the little successes. My son has been very ill and I am off track for the last 3 months, gaining back weight. I am ready to start again too. hang in there.

Thank you so much for posting. It is inspirational!! I just went under 200 for the first time in 16 years so I know the feeling of see a new number in front.. Hard work but worth it. Keep it up!

if you can cool off the back of your neck your whole body feel cooler. Use the water to soak a cloth around the back of your neck a little at a time. Also they do have portable fans, tiny ones. And wear a hat. Good luck, don't give up!!

these stories really help me. I am completely plateaued out after 20 pounds of loss (30 overall from my highest) but with 40 to go. Thank you for sharing.

frozen vegetables and berries are just as healthy as fresh and much cheaper.

I joined an East coast team as carla1958. Excellent idea!

These stories and photos really help me. I have been stuck for about 2 months after initial success so I want to stay motivated! thanks.

Yes! How does this work? Do we form a group?

The calories in the sandwich you describe are around 1000 so I would say yes it could be holding you back. Peanut butter is extremely dense with calories (about 125 per tablespoon) so when I use it I keep it to one tablespoon. Good luck!

I know it is frustrating but if you keep logging your calories and exercise and aim for a calorie deficit you will lose weight. Just keep going is my advice and try not to focus on the numbers as much as the process.

These stories really help the rest of us keep going! Thanks for sharing your photos.

Thank you for sharing! I need the motivation right now. 17 down and 40 to go.
-
you do look a lot younger! and these success stories are so helpful to people at the beginning of the journey. Thanks!

are you writing everything down? Even if I have a day where I am way over goal I still write it down and it helps me start fresh and more motivated the next day. Also exercise more and be sure you are getting all the water. You can do it!

everyone has great suggestions. I would just add really limiting any TV or computer time, probably to 30 - 60 min per day. A lot of kids watch 4 or more hours a day and so that is time they are not moving. Good luck! and I applaud your efforts to keep her innocent of the issue and protect her self esteem. So important.

this is just what I needed to read today! I am down 13 pounds but have 40 to go and I am at a plateau. How did you break through those? anyone else?

you are an inspiration!!

count me in and friend me if you wish. I am finally seeing some success and am so happy! Shopping for a smaller size tomorrow. Let's all do it together.

You can do it! This is a great site and has a lot of successful people. I am at a weight lower than I have been in 15 years and it is just one day at a time. Eat a little less, walk a little more, take the stairs, use a salad plate rather than a dinner plate, ask yourself " am I hungry?", pick up one m and m instead of a…

Hey, I would love to be friends and we could motivate each other! I have more weight to lose, about 45 pounds, but I am confident I can do it this time and look forward to enjoying myself in photos (maybe in a white dress?). I have lost 11 pounds so far and am lower than I have been in 10 years. My 4 kids are grown with…

today I am lower than I have been in 15 years. Just at the start of my journey but breaking through that barrier has been an amazing boost. What I have learned is that if you actually eat less and exercise more, even if the changes are small, it does work. This MFP site has been a huge help.

you haven't been bad!!! You made bad food choices. Get back in the saddle! I look at your 32 pounds of weight loss and am so jealous. Think if you can about what feelings might have triggered the bad week. Hang in there.

thanks for sharing it is so hard to stay motivated!!! you look amazing.

Weight watchers works if you do it the way they tell you too. 28 points is reasonable but they should be able to help you be sure it is right for you. In my experience with any program, the most important thing is to actually write down exactly what you eat. I used to eat my points and then just keep eating without keeping…

Thanks! It turned out pretty well so far. I had the chicken ceasar salad and brought half home, iced tea. It is great to have your support.

It's amazing. I just started this (after doing WW a million times) and am successful. It seems the moment I start making progress I put the brakes on... like wondering weather I will make it to the gym or feeling defeated that I have plans to eat out this weekend and may "screw up". I am my own worst enemy! Conquering my…
