  • I had a goal of 40 by 40 and reached it in six months. That was three years ago and I've actually lose almost 20 more. I would set smaller goals or targets to help motivate you on your journey. Set milestones of 10 pound lost, 25 pounds, 50 pounds, etc. and give yourself rewards when you reach them. Maybe new clothes or a…
  • I have a lot of the Beachbody programs and Insanity is the one I just never feel like doing. I did one round of it, lost some weight, gained better cardio conditioning, got the t-shirt and that was it. I would give nicknames to the cast such as Jersey Shore's Pauly D and Vinnie,Tania the Cheater, The Scary Midget, etc.…
  • What are you trying to compare?
  • I use my scale every day and can't even recall the last time I changed a battery.
  • Plyo is good for cardio conditioning and leg strength. It is a tough workout with that can be a challenge. I think it is an essential part of the program. But If you are intent on cycling three days per week, subbing it out isn't the end of the world.
  • Just create an exercise under the My Exercises tab and name it after the workout you completed. A heart rate monitor will give you the calorie burn.
  • I'm sure you'll get a ton of messages from coaches looking to sell you the program. I did buy mine from Beachbody. I just don't trust the gray market when it comes to quality. The discs do get used a lot, so they are bound to eventually stop working. If that happens, you can get a free replacement from Beachbody. I don't…
  • I'm in the second month/block. I did a round several months ago, but it was a little half-hearted as I was just adjusting to life with newborn twins. This time, I've gotten the hang of things as a stay at home dad. I did a round of T25 and now I'm back in on P90X3. The workouts are good and many of the moves are…
  • Insanity is a tough program for sure. You will be sore, but eventually get over it. I have done two rounds of it. over the past couple years. I could not make it through the workouts at first. So, I tried to beat the first people in the cast to drop out, then the next one and so on. Eventually I made it through the whole…

  • Is it safe to take? Yes. Is it needed? No. Should you take it all back to the store and get your money back? Yes. I get my vitamins from Puritan's Pride online. I take a Men's multi-vitamin and fish oil each morning. I use Shakeology for my meal replacement shake, but it is expensive in its own right. I only like shakes…
  • Trade Joe's has Turbinado Sugar and Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Almonds. They are simply the greatest food item ever made.
  • I've done a round of Insanity and currently in week 8 of T25. Insanity is the more difficult program for sure. I have several of the Beachbody programs and Insanity is the one I reach for the least often. It is frustrating at first when you can't keep up. But as you gt better, you do get a very good sense of accomplishment…
  • On principle, I refuse to buy ice cream that is not the full half gallon. Pints, yes. These 40 and 50 ounce containers can bite me. Same price, smaller tub. Fight the power! That reminds me, I should pull the ice cream maker down and whip up a batch or two.
  • I go with Pandora Pop and Hip Hop Power Workout.
  • You need a pull up bar for all of the P90X family of workouts. P90X2 is focused more on core and balance. Yoga got shrunk to an hour and you do a lot of the moves on one leg or a stability ball. It requires more equipment that P90X. P90X3 is comprised of 30 minute workouts. You still need weights or bands to do most of the…
  • All the Whos in Whoville want to lose the weight. It would be great. Then they could skate first rate. They better not wait.
  • I've done a few of the T25 workouts, all Alpha. I thought I could do them as afternoon doubles on top pf my morning P90X3 workouts, but the newborn twins aren't letting that happen. Even going back to Insanity, I found the lack of focus on form to be a bit disturbing. But, I also would slow myself down to make sure that I…
  • I've done Insanity on DVD for a couple rounds. I would try to last longer than the first person out, then the second. pretty soon, I was able to complete the whole thing. Then the second month of Max workouts knocked be back down to Earth. It is a tough workout for sure, but you will get the hang of it. I imagine everyone…
  • I count fruit, but don't count ice cream. If I don't log it, then the calories never happened.
  • With all the folks who can't manage to spell a simple word such as "lose" correctly, the proper use of Calorie and calorie is just a drop in the bucket. If they never made it past grade level spelling, I'm sure science was out of reach and is considered dark magic.
  • Planks on forearms is a sphinx, so yes it would be effective. Have you tried push up stands? That might help your wrist.
  • I bought a refurbished 7500 off their website a few months ago. We love it. I've made tomato soup with it even. I use it at least once a day for post workout or protein shakes.
  • Those days happen. Use the overfull feeling afterwards as a reminder the next time the temptation comes up. I love me the local Chinese and sushi buffet. I had it the other day, ate three plates and felt like crap. I'll know better for next time. Much of that weight could have been sodium. Buffet food tends to have a lot…

  • If it is on the internet, it has to be true. You can't post anything on the internet that isn't true.
  • After a week or two, it almost feels natural to get up early and work out. It's the only way I can remain consistent with my workouts. Lay out your workout clothes before bed. If you take a pre-workout supplement, keep it in a cup by your sink so you can drink it right away. By the time you get dressed, go to the bathroom,…
  • Dark Chocolate, Turbinado Sugar and Sea Salt Roasted Almonds. The single most addictive thing in the store. I eat a lot of them when I get the container. Evil in a plastic tub.
  • I like to switch it up with MGN, Muscle and Strength and Gaspari Nutrition. I have a mix of whey and casein post workout (2:1 ratio) and casein/almond milk/cottage cheese for my pre-bed snack. I try to shop on sale and grab the 2 lb jugs. I can change up flavors so I don't get bored as easily.
  • I just finished a round of Insanity, so I'm a little tired of Shawn T. Maybe in a few months.
  • Carbs are not evil or toxic. What kind of carbs are you currently eating in a typical day?
