P90X Calendar Modification

The last little while I have been doing Convict Conditioning 3 days a week and cycling 3 other days, but I am getting a bit bored of CC and looking to switch it up a bit. I am thinking of doing 3 days of P90X a week instead and basically dropping the plyometric/cardio days from the calendar.
My main question is: am I missing out on a lot by not including the plyo day? I would like to include it, but it would leave me with 4 videos to do in 3 days of the week...
Also, if you have any other suggestions of good full body workouts I can get done with dumbbells, pullup bar and resistance bands, I'm listening

you might consider following the pattern of the program and just spreading it out into a longer program. This way you get the benefits of using all of the excerises but you will still be able to fit your other program in.0

Plyo is good for cardio conditioning and leg strength. It is a tough workout with that can be a challenge. I think it is an essential part of the program. But If you are intent on cycling three days per week, subbing it out isn't the end of the world.0

You'll be fine to cut out the cardio if you are subbing in with something else. Plyo is a great working and Kenpo is ok too. I often follow the lifting P90X calendar with my running schedule and cut them out as well. Good luck, it is a great program.0

one can only answer the question 'am i missing out' if we know what your goals are.
I'd say if your training for an athletic event, then definetly you will be missing out if you don't include the plyo.
if you are try to burn fat, its not 100% necessary but in my opinion belongs in an optimal fat loss program.
if your trying to gain mass you can do it or skip it and wont hurt much. skipping it would probably be better actually, but it really depends on your diet too.0 -
Hello there
I would like some advice...
In a month I have to cut my exercising from 6 to 4/5 days a week.
I'm currently doing p90x....
Is it ok to space out the programme so I can fit all the routines in?
I enjoy each routine and would rather not skip any but is it ok to space things out a bit?0
