I love Zumba! Zumba was the only reason I got back into fitness. I was a tennis player in college and also participated in other sports so when my friend invited me I was like "yeah, okay this is going to be stupid" wow was I wrong. I think that the biggest thing that I notice is...you get what you give. If you have fun…

Then my Dad died and for the last three weeks i have been depressed and eating everything in sight. I need support as well and this is why i love MFP, we can have as much support as we…

So true! Things are finally starting to click with me as well. I had a similar realization to yours...instead of feeling sorry for myself i am changing how i feel one day at a time. I am not sure when it all started for me (the low self esteem thing) but it ended about 3 months ago. :)

Got it! Thanks so much for the help. Looks like i haven't been eating enough, which might explain the stall in my weekly losses...started playing competatuve tennis again and havent been great at logging the exercise calories. I will rework my settings and see how it helps. Glad that i took the time to ask and that you all…

Thanks guys! This is so out of left field-he is (what I thought to be anyway) a great guy, great with the kids, stays home with her..they seemed happy. I was so shocked that he was calling random women on-line that he was chatting with. She wanted my opinion and I just didn't know what to say.

You are me 5 years ago! At some point somehting will push you to take it easier on yourself. For me, it was having kids. I got SO BIG during pregnancy and after I just felt gross. Then I realized that I will never get anywhere if I don't respect myself, my body, and be appreciative of everything that I have. Rhianna has it…

Awww honey-take a deep breath and let the negativity go. It looks like you have a beautiful kiddo- just think about him/her when you thnk so negativly about yourself, because you mean the world to others and you just dont realize it. i used to have horrible self esteem issues and i still struggle with it on occasion but…

i am so happy someone posted this topic, i am having the same problem and to save money i have switched to mostly frozen vegetables. Welcome! I found the best starting point was something you could do almost everyday...walking! I started out with a small goal of walking around my neighborhood once a day. Then I pushed myself to try walking to our park, then to the park and one lap around the trail, etc., etc. You will gradually get your confidence back…

There is something to be said for being honest with yourself. If you arent ready for the long term commitment, then it just isn't the right time for you yet. I understand about gaining and plateaus. I was in one for over 5 months, now I am losing again. I was obese in middle- high school and have struggled every day since…
