  • Great job!! I'm so happy for you! :)
  • A good friend of mine sells Advocare and I did try the 24-day challenge. It does help to drop the inches and pounds, but I am still not 100% sure of how permanent the fix is. Granted, shortly after I finished the 24-day challenge I had an apartment fire and so I ended up eating out a lot and gaining back pretty much all…
  • You all are rock stars!! Thanks for the positive vibes!! :)
  • I know diet pop doesn't have calories, but it's still not going to benefit you like water will. If you absolutely can't stand it, I would stick with flavored water because then at least you are getting those nutrients and you are hydrating your body. Pop is more likely to dehydrate you. Maybe even add a little bit of lemon…
  • I definitely agree with what everyone else has been saying. Don't cut out everything completely, or you're going to want it more. For example, yesterday I decided that I wanted a candy bar. I initially picked up one that had 180 calories per serving (there were roughly two servings), but got the Hershey's Dark Chocolate…
  • I've never heard of that either....as I tell my students, sounds like something to research! :)
  • How much are you exercising? I have roughly the same schedule as you as far as times I am up is concerned (although I don't have a child). I've noticed that when I exercise less often, that is usually when I feel the most exhausted. Not in all cases, but most. I find that when I work out more consistently I tend to feel…
  • You're welcome to add me as well! I always joke with my friends that if I even think about looking at a cheeseburger, my butt instantly expands, so imagine what would happen if I actually ate one! LOL So I totally get where you're coming from there...my husband is 6'6" so he can pretty much eat whatever he wants because…
  • Agreed! I don't personally log that kind of stuff either, but it's their choice. Some people do not have time to make it to the gym and and for them, that's their exercise. Have you ever considered individuals who have recently had surgery and that's all the more they can do? Like several others have stated, if it's not…
  • Girl, I am in the same boat as you! We had pre-planning days Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of last week and then started school on Thursday. Not only did I not make it to the gym, but on those pre-planning days we (all the teachers) go out for lunch, to discuss the year, hang out, and in general, just go since we can't…
  • Just like a couple other people said, don't even buy it. I know that I can put a hurtin' on a bag of chips if I have them in my possession, so I just don't buy it. If it's not available you won't be tempted. It may be hard for awhile, but your cravings for them may become less overtime. At least mine did...hope this helps!
  • Yay! What a great feeling! Congrats!
  • Thanks for all the advice, everyone! It's not a constant cough, and I can tell I'm on the mend, it's just annoying! I'll definitely be doing some sit-ups and push-ups and some strength training with my weights until I feel good about running again.
  • LOL This is hilarious!! Thanks for the laugh!!
  • I'm going to add you! There are days I LOVE to run and others it's a huge chore! Maybe I just need some people to keep me motivated..
  • Congratulations to each of you!! I'm actually getting married in less than 2 weeks (the 25th)...yikes! :) For the most part I'm relatively comfortable with my weight, I just want to drop 10-15 pounds so I'm feeling healthier and am eating better. I have no intentions of doing that before the wedding though! I just wanted…
