  • Looks like meal planning/prepping is the key to survival. Crap. I'm such an unorganized person, haha. Thank you for the advice, ladies! Now on to Google to figure out meal prepping!
  • Hello! My little man is almost 8 weeks, and I'm still gaining weight. I feel like I need to get a handle on it now, but I barely have time to shower, much less exercise and cook healthy meals. I will take all the support and advice I can get for how to live and live healthy after baby!
  • Welcome back! I'm in grad school and my LO is 7 weeks now and now I'm trying to get back to regular life. I lost almost 30 lbs after having him, and I've gained 12 since. But I've been surviving on carbs and coffee. Hoping to get back in the kitchen and the gym. Feel free to add me, maybe we can help each other figure it…
  • I'm a new mom in grad school, I feel your pain, sistah! It's a crazy ride! I've basically been surviving on coffee and carbs. I've just started to get back into the kitchen and regular life. Add me and maybe we can help each other out!
  • Sounds like you're doing great! Personally, I just buy whatever is on sale, plus whatever I'm feeling every week. It keeps a good variety of colors and flavors in the house, so lots of variety in vitamins and minerals. I've really been chowing down on spinach lately, it's so healthy and goes with almost anything. Haven't…
  • I second Fitness Blender!
  • I love Tara Stiles! She has a ton of videos on YouTube at different levels and lengths. Good luck!
  • Due at the end of January here! I've gained about 8 pounds already! But I've too tired to do much more than stare at my running shoes. Stuffing myself late at night after the naseau subsided probably didn't help either. But I'm starting to feel better and trying to get back into the old routine. Good luck to you!
  • Haha! Same here! I was checking the mirror the other day and thinking my middle was getting smaller, giving me that hourglass shape. It was a fake. While I have lost a lot around my middle, it has made my ribs stick out like a second pair of underdeveloped tits. :p Not the look I was going for. I'm hoping it evens out once…
  • Just finished week 3! It's amazing to see how far I've come so quickly!
  • I have this problem, too. Sometimes the camping is for vacation and sometimes it's for work, but even with all the setting up camp, hiking and squirrel food (if it's for work), I never manage to lose weight. I've heard others make similar comments about not losing weight on these trips, and we were hiking for hours…
  • Welcome! Rock it, girl! B)
  • I hope you feel welcome here! It's so hard when the people around you don't support your decision to be healthier. But so many times others will follow suit after your example! Chin up! P.s. I love your profile pic! That's so cute!
  • Welcome to your journey! I'm in my first few weeks of taking weight loss seriously. I've lost 13 pounds since MFP and [almost! So close to] 20 pounds since I've started my own journey. Some weeks are better than others, but I'll be rocking sexy and healthy before long! Feel free to join me :)
  • Welcome to your journey! :)
  • Welcome! Any of you lovely ladies are welcome to add me. Weight loss, lifestyle changes,....It's a daily struggle, but we're strong. :)
  • Some of you have nerves of absolute steel..... Serious kudos.
  • Haha. Awesome! I totally wish I had started on that first, but don't want to lose my progress, which isn't much, but it definitely means something to me. If I survive the C25K, I thought I'd finish up with Zombies, Run! regular app for pacing and intervals. Sounds like so much fun!

  • Say goodbye to the tummy! I also lost a lot of weight [mostly from stress], and then gained it all right back. Ended up just a few pounds away from my heaviest from back in high school and decided that this was utterly ridiculous. I've worked hard to get away from the poptart, pizza and beer college diet [though I may…
  • ^^^^^Yes! So much yes!
  • On Day 4 here! :# My baseline was 45 seconds, hoping to get to 3 minutes by the end of the month. Good luck all!
  • Same here. I don't live on campus, but I like live on campus, ya know? Poptarts, pizza and beer. Literally breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Ugh. I survive off that crap, somehow.
  • I get ya. A diet tends to represent the newest fad or trend, and it's usually short lived, versus just trying to actively make better and healthier choices.
  • So give it your all! Good luck!
  • I like to make breakfast couscous. It's just coucous, coconut milk [or any milk], chopped dried fruits and nuts, cinnamon, and a little brown sugar. Takes like 5 minutes to chop up and toss everything together, 10 min of "sitting". It would be super easy to make this real quick in the morning. Personally, I'll take that…
  • Sale ads. And coupons. They can really help make that dollar stretch further. Sales are usually rotated, so I wait for a good sale on things that keep well then stock up. But really, cooking simple meals from scratch cuts out most the cost. I made stirfry the other night for less than $3 a serving. Eat your heart out,…
  • http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ellie-krieger/chili-rubbed-steak-tacos-recipe.html I've been doing variations of this recipe for a while. It's for flank steak, but it's ridiculously yummy with portabello mushrooms instead. The seasoning combined with the cucumber avocado salsa makes for the absolute best meatless…
  • Second semester grad student here. I feel your pain! I find myself eating way too much junk food, because it's quick. And when you never feel like you have enough time in the day, quick can take priority over healthy. Planning ahead is the only thing that works for me. I plan breakfasts on the go, lunches I can take with…
  • Welcome, even though you aren't a newbie. :)
