  • Amazing success story, congrats on your wedding anniversary heres to a healthy and happy future for you both
  • I will be 47 on Tuesday and yes I've found it harder to lose weight this time but hopefully this time it will stay off as been here so many times before.
  • I agree with obwize, maybe a blood test to see if your lacking in certain vitamins, I take a multi-vitamin every day and have regular blood tests. I think we all go through fazes where we crave certain foods the key is to limit it and get back on track A.S.P.
  • I have already reached the 100lb loss but still have 30 more to go, I lost some prior to joining MFP but then had a blip and gained it all back and more besides. I started using MFP again on 1/1/12 and since then have lost 103lb so its possible to do but does take commitment. you will get there x
  • I've lost over 100lb (put more weight on after joining) and my wedding rings no longer fit, but as it's my 25th wedding anniversary in November I'm dropping huge hints to hubby that a new set of rings would be nice.
  • I weigh in once a week on a Tuesday morning, I think it can become very obsessive and can take over your life. I like to see the number coming down and think I would get disgruntled if I weighed in every day and the numbers weren't moving, but everyone is different, think I may become a more regular weigher once I get…
  • I'm 46 and like you was an emotional eater, and also got told to eat it all up like a good girl so I did and continued all through my life. I have a 6'4 hubby and my sons are 6'6 and 6'9 and are both big lads so got used to dishing out big portions so did the same for myself and ended up 326lb at xmas 2012 so i decided…
  • I tried it and was not impressed with the food, found it fairly tasteless and expensive so stuck with just monitoring my food
  • Try increasing the heel height gradually, walking in flats is normal and your centre of balance is normal, then you put heels on and you knock your centre of balance to hell, by gradually increasing the heels you teach your body how to balance safely and it also allows the ligaments and tendons time to get used to the…
  • The only thing I would say is this was how i used to survive every day and my weight continued to rise, topping out at 326lb at xmas 2011, after starting to eat breakfast my weight started to fall. I think as long as your not over eating when you do finally eat, and then sitting around and not doing any exercise, then you…
  • It isn't permanant, I have suffered from IBS for nearly 40 years and have been losing weight for over a year now, I like you suffered terrible pains when I changed my diet, but once your system gets used to your new eating habits the pains should subside. Remember under the new guidelines for IBS they now say rather than…

  • I have always been overweight, and over the years got steadily bigger and then in Jan 2012 found myself at 326lb, although this was not my heaviest, I decided to finally do something about my weight. I started to keep my food diary on here and over the last year have managed to lose 96lb although MFP say different because…
  • By looking at your joining date, like me you joined and then did nothing, Believe me you can do it, I did it I came back to MFP in Jan 2012 with an increased weight, so when i decided to give this a go I weighed 326lb after 12 months I have managed to lose 96lb, and yes still have a long way to go as want to lose another…

  • My weigh in day is a tuesday, don't know why. I must admit I found myself being very good over xmas and new year, even managed to lose 3lb over the festive period
  • If the skin has been stretched for a while then the chance of it going back is very slim and no amout of exercise will help, although it will tone the underlying muscles. I have the same problem after a 6 and a half stone loss this year, and now find myself with spaniel ears for boobs, bingo wings, and a belly that looks…
  • I have a childs dinner plate, which is the equivalant size of a side plate. If I eat whats on it, and still feel hungry after 30 mins then i will have a piece of fruit but this does not usually happen. Sometimes we pile our plates with food because this is what we are used to, the aim is to re-teach our brains that we…
  • Me too, from the cold dark dank north east (Teesside)
  • You need to sit and talk to your husband, find out if it is just the weight gain or if there is a deeper problem. I meet my husband weighing 13st, after 2 kids and serious health problems I had gained 10st, although my husband never put me down he did say he didn't find me as sexy, and this was having an effect on his sex…
  • My advice would be to set yourself small managable weight targets, I started this at xmas 2011 weighing 326lb after a false start. I set myself 20lb weight loss targets and once i reached that i changed my target so another 20lb was my target, I am now 8lb away from my 5th target so nearly 100lb loss, although my tracker…
  • I over the last 20+ years must have lost 50+ stones and gained it plus more back. This has had a big effect on my health. I am now in the right place for me to lose the weight and keep it off (fingers crossed) . I would say that only you can decide what is right for you, I to have looked into the possibility of gastric…
  • When i started on here I had a total of 140lb to lose to get to a healthy weight range, but due to health problems I put more weight on and when i recovered my weight had gone up to 326lb, am now down to 234lb so still have over 50lb to lose, it is possible to do but it takes time. To get to where I am has taken me just…
  • Well done, looking great, i wish i'd thought to take some pics
  • Try eating oatmeal (porridge) for breakfast, as its a slow release food it helps keep your energy levels up. It can be cooked in a largish batch and then heated up in the microwave for a quick filling breakfast. Try adding some fruit to it, this is what i have been doing
  • Think you look amazing, wish i had thought to take some pics before i started losing weight so i could see my own transformation
  • My dr has only recommended that i needed to lose weight which i had to agree with, i started out at xmas 2012 with a weight of 326lb and after a year of hard work am now down to 236lb, I am 5'6 and acording to guidelines i should be approx 150lb. However these guidelines were set in the 1920's and medical professionals now…
