  • Do not sweat it! I am in a smilar boat with work hours and just being plain exhausted by the time youhave time for you. Think about how you can change your habits during your work day. Can you take the stairs..more often? park a little farther away? Go for a walk during your lunch. There are ways to incorporate some…
  • Yes - know exactly what you speak of. My husband and I have lightly grilled it..with lemon pepper - yummy! It is also great used as /in fish tacos~! Enjoy !
  • Are you going over by 10 ..20 ..200 calories? I use to stress about being over , any amount. Think about what you ate prior to MFP..and the amount of calories consumed prior to MFP. Go easy on yourself. ..som edays are better than others, but having a conscious awareness of being under/over will reduce lbs in the long run.…
  • HAVE IT!. factor it into your day's calories first. ...say... this Saturday. The database stated it was 230 calories. Place it in first and then decide what else you will eat for the rest of the day. It can be your treat. You do not need to deny yourself of any food. ..just make wise decisons. i am not advocating for a…
  • write out a list ..as in old fashioned pen & paper..of what you do like. Get creative by adding "likes" together...to create a recipe of sorts. I post my "likes" onn my frig and pantry door. It helps keep me in check when I find my self "trolling".. Good luck.

  • Garmin 405 I love it. I got it 5 years ago as an entry level watch. After about two years - it seemed to run slow. I contacted Garmin - shipped the entire watch to them..and they replaced it and returned it for a cost of $6. Incredible watch - even better customer service. I would not consider anyhting else. I knowthere…
  • We love that place! Check if they have a webiste -perhaps they list food & nutritional values. If they do not list nutritional values ( i.e. calories) ;pick a food and break it down in the MFP database. We find it best to have a plan and "guestimated" idea of calories prior to going out to any restaurant. Bottom line...and…
  • It is coming to the end of a long day and a very long week. Tonight's " snack" is a wonderful, full bodied...Merlot. Hey - I have the calories and it will be one glass. Tonight's snack is definately turning out to be the best one this week!!

  • FWIW - I have been trying to stay away from the scales. The numbers have a tendency to drive me crazy! I am sticking to the plan, and have started to notice my clothes are felling and looking MUCH different.
  • I did not get a sense of how long you run ( minutes) nor how long he "lurks". FWIW - next time - let him do his usual. As you run and notice he is behind you ...STOP....turn around..plant your feet firmly on the ground with your 75 lb pitt bullmix slightly in front of you ...look him in the eyes and very sternly ask him…

  • ..alwas have something in your hand when around the "tasty garbage"...like a glass of water!
  • Very well stated! :flowerforyou: On an additional note - I would love if "all " could remove the phrase " I ate good" :frown: . OK - eating good vs "bad" . WE make choices , some are wiser- some are not. There is no such thing as "BAD" food!:grumble: The good Lord made food for nourishment. How (much) we choose to consume…

  • Here's a suggestion- Look at your plans, social or ortherwise. The plan what you will eat and when. You always have options- choose the lesser of two evils. Once you are able to plan and make conscious choices - you will not ( completely) sabotage your weeks' accomplishments on the wekends. Yes- this takes planning.…
  • I am not sure how long you have been running 10K's , but my advice. ...It is trial and error. You ,and only you , will be able to figure out what works best and when. I like to have a PB before I run on weeknds , as it is easy for me.Ii am up at 4am to get proper nutriton/hydration in before my run. I get dressed eat , and…

  • OMG ? Do we have the same co- workers? Yes-, I too, have one who is a fitness and nutrition guru - so she thinks. Quite awhile back - i simply stated " I do not mean to offend or insult yoru knowledge ( NOT) , but I have a program which I feel is very good for me" . This worked for awhile. Now - I simply leave the room/…
  • Please do not take offense to this suggestion , but..you may want to place this topic in the search box. There have been a "ba-zillion" replies to this age old question. Good Luck as you will find , from the many previous responses...consistency works.

  • I trust you will not take this to heart - or cry - but you asked what you could do. Seek professional assistance. ...your doctor may be a good start. There is no need to stree and/or fret when you can get assitance. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness- it is a sign of strength!

As far as the comments.."you can do it" Remember these come from people who know nothing of "YOU" and what you may be struggling…
