Who here has 'em?

If you do:

What type do you have?
Pricing?

My sister has a garmin, can't remember exactly which one, but it's top of the line. The thing is magical. Unfortunately, I won't ALWAYS be running with my sister (for now I will be). I'm just looking into other options, cheaper options perhaps.

Suggestions? Advice?

Thanks :))

If you do get one make sure it has a hrm that counts calories in it. It helps a lot. I love my Garmin.

Garmin 405 I love it. I got it 5 years ago as an entry level watch. After about two years - it seemed to run slow. I contacted Garmin - shipped the entire watch to them..and they replaced it and returned it for a cost of $6. Incredible watch - even better customer service. I would not consider anyhting else. I knowthere are newer models and I also know it does wayyy than the fuinctionjs I use- but I love the basics. I have time ,distance and pace up. LOVE IT!

My FIL has one. Its a Garmin.. Not sure what style or anything like that.. He ran 4-5 miles a day around town when they came down for Christmas last year.. He hasn't had any issues with his and he uses it in the hills and mountains where they live.

I just got the Garmin Forerunner 60. I am sure it was a lot less money than your sisters. You can set it for different workouts, not just running. I used mine today to count my calories during my workout with my trainer. I works by the heart rate monitor around your chest. I worked out for 49 minutes varying routines from weights, short running bursts on the treadmill and floor work. It said I burned 389 calories. At least now I have an accurate calorie count.

I just looked at some Garmins, they are decently priced for what they are. I think when the time comes, I'll definitely go with a Garmin forerunner of some sort.
