  • Definitely not, I did not meet my husband until I was 30 and do understand that most of my friends were married or having children by then so I did feel the odd one out. I felt the pressure for a while until I just decided to enjoy life and let whatever would happen happen. I am so glad I did, now 20 years on we are still…
  • Thank you so much for your post, you put into words exactly where I am in my head. I am not sure I have got it yet but will keeping working on it. I was doing 1300 cals a day and not eating back any exercise calories and it didn't work (suprise). I have now pushed myself up but still not enough. I used the tools someone…

  • Hard as it is, try not to be discouraged, it will happen and some weeks it will be fast and some not at all. Try to remember how long it took to put all the weight on, so it is going to take that time to get it all off (at least). I have been doing this a couple of months now and some weeks I drop pounds, some I do nothing…
  • I think that is a really good idea, I will give that a go.
  • Thank you for all your suggestions and support. It turned out we went to Frankie & Benny's so I chose the Lemon Chicken Salad, Plain salad with grilled chicken on top, so hopefully that was not too high but they do not publish their nutritional information. Am guessing I did ok, no dessert and just sparkling water. The…
  • Thanks for all the suggestions so just to recap One slice or two if they are small Cheese-free if possible Vegetarian Load up on salad with low fat dressing Drink lots of water No alcohol - I volunteered to be the driver. I can do this, thanks for the support.
  • My first week I changed nothing and I just logged everything I ate and then had a look at where I was using most calories. I know that when you commit to start it is hard to decide to delay but it is a long term plan so a week won't hurt. Having said that writing it down probably slows you down a bit. From the first week…
  • Ummm this may be a dumb question, but if you don't like it why are you forcing yourself to drink it?
  • Thanks for posting, I too am a Brit so had a giggle. This is my second (AND LAST) time of losing weight - back in 2001 I hit goal and did notice I looked older so will be interested to see what a difference a decade makes when I get to goal. I choose "fanny" as a wrinkly older looking face won't kill me!
  • Hi Amy, welcome, I am quite new too and have 120 lb to lose. Good luck and feel free to friend me if you want some support.
  • It really makes you realise how hard you are making yourself work carrying all this extra
  • What a wonderful message, a gift to us all. Hope you have a wonderful day
