  • You look amazing! Congrats!
  • I've lost 62lbs in 4 months, so non of my clothes fit. The other day I was at Walmart and my shorts fell down, to my ankles. Not a surprise at Walmart, very surprised for me! haha
  • Congrats!! That is awesome!
  • Losing weight at a decent rate can be expensive when it comes to clothing lol. Last time I was here. I lost 100lbs and was buying new clothes every month for almost a year. Reconciling the difference between body weight and fitness is something I have always struggled with. I'm 6'3" with a lean body mass of 243lbs. Being…
  • There is so much broscience in this thread and online it isn't funny. The best bet is to have an open mind, do your diligence and research actual medical articles and journals, and experiment on yourself. :) Me personally... I Intermittent Fast (16 hours after dinner eat a light lunch) on a regular basis and it works for…
  • Despite gas usage being at an 11yr low (according to the news report I heard on the radio today, no sources), gas is still expected to hit a nationwide average of $4.25 this April. Disgusting.
  • Heck yeah I am! I mean seriously... look at me! :) When I drop another 50lbs to hit my goal weight I will just even MORE dead sexy then. * * Confidence is a good thing, even when it might not be the most accurate.... haha In all seriousness though, God has created me in His image, how can I NOT be attractive. Feeling…
  • This is exactly why I don't use the words paleo, primal, caveman, etc anymore. I tried "low glycemic, natural food" for awhile, but that just made people's eyes glaze over... tried Archevore for bit... but again lots of eye glazing... now I just tell people that I have lost nearly 100lbs in 7 months by eating whole natural…

  • We have been doing Paleo / Primal for six months now... June 22, 2011 and I have lost nearly 100lbs with very little exercise. My wife has lost right around 55-60 as well. Yeah... and we suffered a house fire in November, so for the past month we have had mega stress, no sleep, no exercise, and ate like crap albeit still…
  • My goal weight is set at 225... the weight I played minor league hockey and pro inline hockey. I won't be the same build at 41 as I was at 21 at that weight... but I am shooting for the same target weight.
  • Thanks for the answers guys... In this past 21 weeks I have been doing a lot of experimentation on my body and have discovered a ton of information about how foods affect me. I think I will have to purge dairy for a month and see what happens as well. In all honesty though, I am not too concerned about the fact that "true…
  • I agree with this completely. While we TRY to eat grass finished when we can, simple budgetary constraints do not allow us to be able to do it all that often. When we eat normal bacon, normal butter, normal beef, we supplement a bit heavier with Omega 3 Fish Oil pills. If I can't drop the amount of N6s, I will simply raise…
  • wow.... uh... just... wow.... haha We make breakfast casseroles like you mentioned quite a bit, quiche made with a sausage "crust", sausage egg and cheese frittata, and of course scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage or omelets for the three kids. My wife and I add variable veggies to the omelets and scrambles. :)
  • My wife and I are/were big coffee drinkers. It was not unusual for us to burn through a full 12 cup pot of coffee daily, plus a few cups at the local coffee shop as well. Recently I have stopped drinking coffee and pretty much only drink green tea and water. Nothing wrong with coffee and our weight loss. :)

  • I used to hunt on a regular basis when I was younger... As a married adult with three kids, living in the suburbs, formerly living a SAD diet and lifestyle, I have drifted away from those hunting roots and plan on getting back to them next season. Previously, and plan to again very soon, I have hunted, killed, cleaned, and…
  • Yesterday marked 21 Weeks since my wife and I made our my lifestyle change.. In the beginning I logged everything I ate, tracked all calories, etc and it was horrifically boring and tedious. I hated it. Now that I have been living this way for almost 5 months, I am much better at knowing what foods to eat, how they affect…
  • I use the mace mostly for swinging drills, however I also use two of them as pushup stands, free weights for curls, overhead lifts, butterflys, etc. Basically anything that gets tiring after a few reps... haha. I could just as easily use it for hitting the tire I guess... Might have to try that today. :) Thanks! He is such…
  • Wife and I did it... once... never again. She is losing her hair right now (4 months after the first round ended) and I was an raging jerk at the end due to constantly being hungry and horrible emotional state due to malnutrition.
  • I made a 20lb mace from a bowling ball and steel pipe, a slosh tube, tire and sledgehammer, and next is getting a mini trampoline and medicine ball to do some rebounding work... all are lots of fun and varied! If you care to see pics of them, or more details, you can check out my post below:…
  • Sugar and its many derivative forms Grains Anything made in a lab. We only eat whole unprocessed clean food.
  • I don't track my food on a regular basis. About one week a month I check to make sure the ratios are right, or I will track for a bit if I make changes to how I eat to again make sure everything is good. At the end of the day though, if you are cutting out sugar, grains, and processed foods, you can eat when you are hungry…
  • fry up some bacon, saute some veggies (we use peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, & onions), add the crumbled bacon, scramble in several eggs, and grate some sharp cheddar (if you are following a Primal Diet... Paleo = skip the cheese) and enjoy with a sliced avocado. Best. Breakfast. EVER!
  • Congrats on going Paleo! You will LOVE it. My wife and I have been Primal for 20 week now, and in that time I have lost just over 90lbs and my wife has lost over 55lbs. There are a ton of websites out there for you to find great info, but here are some of the few that I research the most and rely on the heaviest. There is…
  • I started eating a Primal diet and exercising 20 weeks ago and have lost over 90lbs, 12% body fat, 30pts off my blood pressure, 20 bpm off my resting heart rate, and cholesterol numbers are dead perfect. :)
  • Count me in! I am down 90lbs since June 22, 2011 and hope to hit about 110lbs lost by the end of the year.
  • My wife and I have been following a Primal lifestyle for 20 weeks (as of this past Sunday) now and I have lost 90lbs with a low carb, whole food diet and exercise. Looking forward to meeting and learning more from everyone here. :)

  • AMAZING!!!
  • For us is really was as simple as... I cook, this is the food we are eating, let's eat. Of course I try to make things that the kids will like as often as possible. However for new foods, we have a "Three Bite Rule"... you must eat three bites with no bad attitudes, no commentary, just eat. After the three bites, then you…
  • Just to make sure we have all the bases covered... * within 15 minutes * within 30 minutes * within 60 minutes * within 5 hours * there is no proof it is even needed Did I miss any? I eat breakfast when I am hungry, I don't eat if I am not hungry. Sometimes I intermittent fast on my heavy lifting days, sometimes I…
