  • I am VERY new to the whole Keto experience. My husband is diabetic and was recently told to cut carbs as a last-ditch effort to avoid insulin. As a support to him I am also planning the same. Who knew there were so many foods "good for you" that were so high in carbs... bananas and berries for instance. DH is NOT a fruit…
  • Good morning everyone. I signed up for the Biggest Loser challenge!!! My elliptical should be in on Monday which is the challenge start date woohoo! I hope all that aren't feeling well have the best possible day today!!! Happy Friday!!!
  • Tammy yes that is exactly what it is. I have one shake a day at lunch as well as a vitamin supplement in my water that I sip all day. Otherwise I eat healthy choices... lots of vegetables!!! I feel AMAZING!!!! My shred will be over on Saturday and I am determined to stay eating healthy. I have learned some new ways to do…

I am soooo excited that I get to order my elliptical machine tomorrow. Hubby gets his bonus then .. woohoo. I am currently doing the Acti-labs 7 day shred as a kick start to…
  • KJ I am also new here so do not know your history. I am so terribly sorry for your loss and send you good vibes.
  • NYKAREN; and NSV is a non-scale victory. Something you feel good about other than the number on the scale!

I have bookmarked it I will also post my goals for February: Stay on track and keep tracking my food Order my new elliptical so that I can start getting in some real exercise Be kind to myself every day even the scale isn't Try to make some more "friends" trying to do the…
  • I will be 50 in October!! I have lost 10 lbs so far, but this is about the third time I have done that. I'm trying to make this the attempt that sticks!
  • Amazing results. Thank you for posting. This is a great accomplishment and very motivational.
  • Feel free to add me too. I am also trying again...again. B)
  • I am in as well. My husband was recently diagnosed with diabetes, but can hopefully reverse it with diet and exercise. We have seen a dietician and I hope he is as determined as I am to lose the weight and get healthy.
  • Sounds like you are very motivated. Good for you on your plan to not tell your Husband and enable him to derail you. I have no idea what your surroundings are like but I wonder if there is a park close by? Take the kids or just your son and have them "play" with you for 15 munutes. I am giving you pointers that I myself do…
  • Try using a flavored coffee instead of the creamer. You will get the flavor you like without the extra calories!
  • Thank you for this post. I was laid off from my job this week after moving to a town an hour away from my family and friends for the sole purpose of taking this job. It came with great promises of an amazing future, and less than 4 yrs later, after never recieving any raises or any of the things I was promised, I am now…
  • I would love to join this challenge. My cw is 173.6, halloween goal weight will be 165. I do not own a pedometer, any ideas on how to calculate my distance for walking?? Is there something else I can do, like maybe zumba??? Thanks.
  • You can also do weight watchers online. You have access to all the data bases, food calculators , excercise calculators, recipes etc plus they have message boards like these as well. Weight watchers does work and you can be successful. I personally prefer this site, but I think it is all preference. Good luck in your…
  • This cake works very well. I have tried it with the choc cake and diet cola and nobody knew the difference. Also you can make a "bar" using angel food cake mix and low cal sugar free pie filling. Just mix the filling and cake mix and bake..nothing else. My husband even loves these!!
  • Thanks everyone. It sure IS a great feeling to be able to fit back into some of my old stuff!!
  • The data base is extensive, and I don't think I have found anything yet that wasn't already on here. This is a great site and has helped me and my family lose weight "easily" (if that is possible) and learn how to do it without feeling hungry or deprived. Welcome, good luck and feel free to add me as a friend.…
  • I am also interested in finding out. I live in Canada, and not sure where would be the best place to look.

  • Great job with the workout. It is amazing how good working out actually feels!!! I need to get back into my routine. So far, just walking.
  • All I can say is keep on doing what you are doing. Feel free to add me if you like and WAY TO GO!!! on the accomplishements you have already made!!!!
  • Welcome. I also was a WW member, and prefer this to thier program. I like being accountable for what I eat, and that there are many friendly ppl willing to reach out and help, just as there was in WW. Good luck, and welcome to our journey.
  • I think one of my biggest problems is the alcohol. Hubby and I were celebrating our 15th anniversary, so some beer, some wine, some champagne..... Just got our hot tub back up and running so probably have a few more glasses of wine in the tub. I need to exercise a bit more to "earn" a glass or two of wine at the end of the…
  • Great job. Keep it up!!!!
