  • I'm 33 and have lost and gained this weight a couple of times in my my thirties. Currently 21lb down, about another 14lb to go (and I'm keeping it off for good this time!) Feel free to add me :)
  • Yes, me too :)

  • Feel free to add me too, I like having friends to motivate and be motivated by :) https://www.fitbit.com/user/3B8X53
  • My diary is set to 1200, because I spend most of my day either in the car or at my desk and I just don't feel the need to eat more than that. I try to get as many steps in as I can on the days I can, and do 3 workout classes a week - sometimes I'll eat back up a third of those calories, sometimes not. Started two months…
  • With mine, I had to open the app on my phone, go to 'Steps' in the main menu, and tick the box next to 'Fitbit Tracker'. It imports steps and calories burned through exercise now. Failing that, I think a few people in the Fitbit forum have reported there are syncing issues recently.
  • Ahhhhhhh, I didn't see there is a separate 'Steps' category on the mobile app! I've ticked that now, and it is working. Thank you for the tip!
  • What about a feather? I recently had one on curving around my side/ribs, with a pretty mandala-style pattern inside. I love it! I really want a traditional-style arrow next on the inside of my upper arm, and a girly mandala design on my thigh. And possibly a colourful peony as a cover-up for a boring, old-fashioned and…
  • Good morning from Leeds :)
  • Yes, exactly this! I'd gone a couple of stones overweight, and my body fat was just over 30%. I'd never checked this before, and had no idea what to expect, but that did shock me. It's down to 27% now and still moving in the right direction, but I don't check it that often - I'm happier at simply losing the pounds,…
  • This is the one I use, I have the book but it's posted here for free: http://www.joe.co.uk/fitness-health/recipe-stay-lean-with-these-easy-to-make-protein-pancakes/5288
  • My sister has the Alta, it looks nice and she gets on with it very well. I think the main advantage for her is that it notifies her of text messages as well as calls from her smartphone. That doesn't really bother me though. I just got the Fitbit Charge HR for slightly less money, and so far I'm really enjoying it. The HR…
  • I am a new user and can't get any of my activity to sync either, but it sounds like it may not be me doing something wrong then? Really disappointed, as I just switched from Misfit and that was syncing everything perfectly :(

  • Sounds just like me, just I had a little less to lose and am about half way now. But still keen to get my step/exercise count in where I can. Happy for you to add me (on Fitbit, or here, or both): https://www.fitbit.com/user/3B8X53
  • My new Charge HR is charging up, can't wait to test it out! Feel free to add me, would love some friends to motivate and be motivated by: https://www.fitbit.com/user/3B8X53
  • My bathroom scales had run out of batteries so I was living in ignorant bliss. Yet even though my clothes were getting tighter I kept on telling myself I'd only put on a few pounds. Finally, when the only jeans that would fit were some super stretchy ones I gave in and bought a new battery, stepped on the scales and then…
  • I fit a 3-mile walk into my lunch break at work, and also did a 90-minute extreme thai pads class tonight (without collapsing!). My class partner said my shoulders and arms are looking more defined. And I'm down 8kg/17lb since May 1st. Oh, and I cooked the most amazingly delicious dinner all by myself (this is a big…
  • I'm enjoying this one currently (it's like my morning coffee and breakfast smoothie in one): 200ml unsweetened almond milk 1 banana, sliced 1/4 cup rolled oats 1 tbsp flax seeds 1 tbsp cocoa powder 1 tsp honey 1tsp ground cinnamon Handful of coffee ice cubes (strongly made coffee, frozen in an ice cube tray) You can also…
  • I was looking into this too as I have a friend who's currently doing well on it and have heard other great feedback, and I feel like I could do with some structured guidance on eating and exercising. Although it's advertised at £19.99 per month for 3 months, is that not the case, or is that something different? I'm also in…
  • I'm in Leeds, would love to have more UK-based friends to support, motivate and share food/meal ideas :)
  • I've mixed mine up recently by adding fruit, nuts, different meats/fish, feta cheese or even fruity cous cous and also swapping round the leaves and veg a bit too.
  • It's useful isn't it? Glad to have helped :)
  • I'm 5'7'' too and was aiming for about 136lb to 140lb, which is where I've been before and felt and looked a lot better (all my weight goes on my stomach and legs). This time I may stop at being a little heavier as I'd like to tone up and add some slight muscle definition so I'll see how I get on. This time I reached…
  • How many lb/kg are you hoping to lose, btw? I suspect we may be similar.
  • I weigh daily, so I can track the fluctuations and also to keep me accountable - if I weighed weekly, I'd end up eating badly because I'd tell myself there's still x number of days until weigh-in so it will be fine, lol. My weight loss is quite slow, so I also use Trendweight to see the trend as well as the actuals, which…
  • I noticed today that my legs and stomach look better, and that I have a little muscle definition in my shoulders and arms - yay!
  • This is me exactly, total yo-yo dieter. This time I'm taking it slowly, tracking everything I eat, exercising more and generally just making healthier choices. I think I will need to always use MFP even once I reach target, to maintain, but that's ok. This time I also aim to keep weighing myself regularly to keep myself in…
  • I weigh every day, and until recently the days where I didn't lose/gained slightly would drive me mad. But now I use Trendweight, and this helps me to see that I am losing and shows me the trend and projections. I really like it. Weighing daily also helps keep me accountable - otherwise I'd probably eat badly knowing I…
  • I'm aiming to lose a similar amount, about a month in again this time. Happy to friend, support and motivate (and be motivated!) :)
  • Same, it's much better when everyone comments, motivates and encourages. I log every day, feel free to add me for support :)
