Volunteer to be the designated driver = non-alcoholic drinks for you. "I don't know what is going on with my body. Sugar has been making me SOOOOO sick lately. "(give a KNOWING look that does not invite questions) = no cupcakes, etc

This sounds delicious.

I breathe through my nose and mouth. I can't get enough air if I don't. Consider starting with the C25K application. It really does work. Concentrate more on getting out and doing it; distance and speed will come in time.

Only buy chocolate you really like. I get dark chocolate Godiva bars and keep them in the freezer. When I really want chocolate I break off one square, ONLY ONE. When you eat it, don't just chomp it down. Take your time. Take tiny nibbles and let it melt on your tongue. Really savor the flavor.

Go get 'em! Fantastic! Sign up for your next one right away. It becomes more addictive than potato chips.

Jackie Warner has a great DVD for abs. The DVD has one workout for standing up and one for floor work. I do the standing up one and it is great. You don't feel like it is too hard while you are doing it but a day or two later. WOW! You KNOW you worked your abs.

I would get their help calculating by seeing the packages or asking ingredients after explaining that you are tracking your food to try to lose weight/be healthier. They may ask lots of questions about what/how you are doing and end up joining MFP and be very supportive. I often have lunch with my ex's mom and she is…

I am going to have to try this out. Thanks for sharing.

If you eat them, they count. If they stay on your plate or you feed them to the dog, they don't.

I don't want to die of a heart attack or diabetes. I guess fear of death motivates me.

A used condom on the sidewalk across from a high school. I don't even want to know how or why.

My first 5k is tomorrow too. I am so excited but a little nervous. Let's both take a deep breath and remind ourselves that we trained for this and we got this.

I would check their website for nutritional info before going. http://quikorder.pizzahut.com/QOcontent2/Files/PDF/NutritionInformation.pdf

I got my socks from a running store, Fleet Feet. They are more expensive but very much worth it. The brand I got are Zulu. I got the BodyGlide from Fleet Feet as well. The people who work at running stores are a wealth of information. They are usually runners themselves and can tell you from experience what does/does not…

Your socks could be the culprit. When I started running I was wearing cotton socks. I found out that is a bad idea. Get some socks designed for running. I also started using Body Glide on my feet. It is for anti-chafing/anti irritation. Both of these have helped reduce my blisters considerably.

I like to keep it real simple and sprinkle with cayene pepper and bake until done. Then drizzle a nice balsamic vinegar over it. Mandarin/Fig balsamic vinegar is AMAZING.

I am just finishing week 6. I hadn't seriously run for 20 years. It is challenging but so worth it. If you have to do 4 days of a week or repeat a week, do it. Running is as much mental as physical. When you think you can't take another step, tell you mind that 'YES YOU CAN' and do it. I am now running 25 minutes and the…

It depends on your next goal. Once you finish week 9 you will be running 30 minutes and be ready for a 5k. I am on week 7 right now. If you want to do a 10k there is an app to train you to go from a 5K to a 10k.

If you are suffering from depression you won't just "snap out of it". You really need to talk to your primary care doctor. I finally did after suffering for over 2 years this time. Medication is helping a little to reprogram my brain. Exercise is giving me a stress relief outlet and therapy is helping as well. You don't…

You did 5 minutes more than you did before so that is a start. Today do 5 1/2 minutes. Tomorrow 6. Make a goal to push yourself a little more each day/week and you will get there.
