  • First attempt at dangerous Brian tonight and I didn't land on my head, I'm happy with that:)
  • I got a 45mm Titanium Gold xpole just before Christmas and I actually don't find it more grippy than the chrome 45mm we use in class, don't know why but I do have quite sweaty hands so maybe that. Never tried 40 or 50mm so I can't really help with that.
  • No pole related gifts so I ordered myself some new grip aids to try as I've been suffering from slippy hands, here's hoping I find one I like:)
  • Awesome, well done you! I survived the christmas showcase last night at the studio and didn't die of nerves when it came to our groups turn, everyone was amazingly brave to do the routines in front of an audience:)

  • I'm not as experienced, I've been doing pole about 4 months now...but my thoughts: 1. Do/did your forearms get really sore when you first began? Did that go away? Yes, I agree with Lori, it gets less as you get stronger. I still have some wrist supports I wear as they can ache particularly as I work on a computer all day…
  • Up and down this week. Joined the performance group at the studio, quite terrifying but think it will give mecmotivation to push a bit more and when i get over the nerves boost my confidence. Seem to be having grip issues again slipping a lot, more sweaty palms from nerves maybe. Managed my cartwheel for first time this…

  • Hi Katie, and others. I heard about 30 day shred through a friend from another forum group and I've been thinking about giving it a go. I am worried I won't be able to hack it as I'm not used to working out. On the bright side the bf has said he'll do it with me. Anyone know if you are allowed any rest days or does it have…
  • Before I managed to lose the ability to do anything last night I managed Butterfly.... coming out of it however is another story....
  • 1. Where do you live? near Birmingham,UK 2. How long have you been pole dancing? Since July 3. How regular do you pole? Class 1 hour twice a week, hoping more as I now have a pole at home (my credit card company loves me) 4. What is your current occupation? What is your dream occupation? Public Health Information…

  • So excited I have a pole at home now! Went for an xpole 45mm titanium gold in the end. The bf has helped me put it up in our spare bedroom, slightly worried that it might be too close to some drawers will try moving them when I find somewhere for them, but due to the joists wasn't anywhere else. Had pole class tonight but…
  • Hi Everyone I'm Stacey, I'm also in the UK, just had my third pole lesson. So glad I tried this I'm totally hooked! It has been something I've wanted to try for years but I had fallen into doing no exercise and has taken me a while to pluck up courage. I have hopes that pole will keep me interested as I find going to gyms…
  • I'd really like to know this too, I haven't been able to add it to myfitnesspal diary as I didn't know what was equivalent or know enough to add it to the database.
