Way to go! I met my half way mark today too. I have slacked off on logging food though. Your words are encouraging. Thanks!

Personally I think the texture is kinda cool and unique- nothing like it, but thats just me- open minded. So, best thing is to try a small amount in the bulk section of your health food store to see if you like it. Here we have Kimberton Whole Foods. I like that it actually contains a full range of amino acids, and gluten…

I eat many small treats daily and have lost 18 lbs so far. I learned to love my measuring cups and spoons. Funny thing is it has become kind of a game. My favorite measuring instruments are the half tablespoon and 1/8 cup. I only use good quality treats like real 100 percent peanut butter, real maple syrup, nutella, etc...…

I don't know how many calories are in it, but I heard some of those take-out drinks can be very high in calories, many more than you might think. Some lattes for example can be well over 1000 cals and up! Thats a whole days worth of calories for me, and therefore not a good thing for anyone on a weightloss plan. l try and…

You can definitely overdo it on protein. Like the other poster said, osteoporosis, kidney stones, and more. Too much protein is actually not beneficial and robs your bones of calcium in addition to being( OMG )- stored as fat. We want to be lean and fit and healthy. I have heard how Americans consume more protein than they…

Clothing size- True! I have gone down about almost 2 clothing sizes- which makes sense for the 17 lb loss. I went from a 14-16 to an 11-12 depending on cut of jeans. I guess that could be good enough for me! I'll be happy as heck when I get down into the single digits!

Do you have a juicer? I feel any healthy food will help with weight loss, though vegetables help more than fruit, because of low sugar content making you less hungry. I have a juicer book that explains how to get rid of sugar and carb cravings which are due to nutritional imbalance. Once you juice up with the right…

There's nothing I love more than eating, and eat pretty much whatever I want, and surprisingly have lost almost 15 pounds so far. How I do it is by eating high fiber foods, and protein too. I cut out the simple carbs and only eat whole grain complex carbs. This helps me feel fuller. Stay away from white flour products.…

Hi, Thanks for posting. I wondered the same thing myself, and then figured that the 30 day shred was interval training or what is most likely called CIRCUIT TRAINING in MFP exercise log. I was amazed at how many calories it burns, but think that a heart rate monitor is most accurate in determining actual calories burned.

I'd like in too please!

Beautiful!!! Its amazing how this extends not only to looking good, and feeling good, but being able to DO good, and help your mother too. It really is true how helping ourselves just radiates the benefit out to all those around us. Thanks for the inspiration!

These are all great motivations, everybody. Thanks for sharing! My unstoppable drive comes from recovering from serious injury a year ago to both legs. I was unable to walk for 6 months, then was limping around for another 6. I also have recurring foot injuries. I used to love to hike and years ago I was a runner, until…

Thank you. It is always fun finding more powerful affirmations. Isn't it great to see yours paying off big time? The post-its on my laptop read- "I HOLD A STEADY IMAGE OF MYSELF AS A THIN PERSON I AM STRONG AND FLEXIBLE. MY MUSCLES ARE FIRM AND ATHLETIC." -quotes from orindaben

Are you eating high glycemic index foods? Alot of diet food is high glycemic index. Artificial sweeteners for one. I dont know if you use sugar substitutes, but I use stevia because it is low glycemic. Maybe reduce the fruits and drink fresh vegetable juices instead from a juicer should help. Not getting enough sleep also…
