Ok so I'm losing weight but can't get rid of the little pouch from having a child 14 years ago. Help does anyone have a suggestion?

I would live to hear the answers / suggestions! My pouch is from two kids.. the second one was a C-section so it is really hard to lose it!

From what I understand, it's a lot of weight training so you get your core strong, and the more you do, the more your skin will tighten up.

From what my dr says, nothing will get rid of it completely. I just had my 2nd csection in feb and have been very consistant with diet and exercise, including lots of ab work, especially lower ab work and it has gone down almost completely. I say lots of cardio, a good diet and lots of ab work should definitly help.

Yeah seems that way, there's some people I have seen on this site who have had a baby, but NO pouch... they worked it off, but the stretch marks are still there, just not as noticeable.

The best thing you can do is keep working to lose body fat.... clean diet and strength training (whole body, not just ab work). BUT, you may still never lose that pouch completely. But, it wont look so bad when the rest of your body is lean & muscular!

Pilates has done a great job of firming up my baby gut...I can still blame it on my kid if he's 18, can't I?

I think you just have to get use to it because its never going to completely go away. Even at my lowest weight (145 lbs at 6ft tall) my stomach looked flat but was super wrinkly from stretch marks and if I ever got on all fours (or down to do a pushup) the skin would just hang. It sucks but short of surgery I don't think theres anything you can do to really get rid of it completely and back to a pre-baby tummy.

Let me know what I can do too. I've got four kids, and although I didn't carry them until they were born, I still have a belly to show for it.

Oh great, looks like I'm stuck with it. I guess it's more excercise. Thanks all. :)

Mine has gotten a lot smaller over the past 7 months. I am hoping it will tone up for the most part. Lots of core exercises, pilates, cardio,.....

Dito on the 19 year old post baby tummy, but she was definitely worth it, so if anyone doesnt like it, too bad!
