your body needs to recouperate..get some rest and plenty plenty of fluids. the exercises will still be there when you feel better because your body does not have the energy to burn right now.

i think people know what they mean personally when they say the want to tone up..whether it's losing fat or making you muscles stronger, the overall look you end up with is a leaner, toner body..so if they choose to say toned, i don't see what the big deal is. but to each his own..

I just started HIIT training with Tabata..I love it..I can get it done in about 16 minutes and I'm drenched afterwards.

I don't think that this post was saying "do this exercise and nothing else". If you do these excercise along with others, along with your cardio, you will firm up those areas. That's why there are leg lifts and sqauts, arm curls, etc, because they work that specific area, but you do them in a routine to burn the total body.

Increase the protein, whole grains, nuts, beans, legumes, etc. That is very important because if you are still taking in sugar, starches and bad carbs, it won't go anywhere. Add resistance training to your workout, and planks are awesome for your core.

Most definitely. A drink can be 200 calories, and that can be the thing that takes you over your daily calorie limit and derail your efforts. Be careful with them because a lot of drinks are empty calories and pretty much a big jug of sugar. So go for the zero calorie drinks as much as possible.
