Homemade Tzatziki w/pic & nutritional info

I absolutley love homemade Tzatziki. It goes great either with pita chips, or as a sauce for another one of my favourites, chicken souvlaki. It's so easy to make and very nutritious for you. How many dips can you say that about?

Tzatziki is delicious on almost everything!
Try adding a little lemon juice to the recipe next time you make it.
Also try it with English cucumbers. They tend to work a little better since they don't have seeds.
Mmm, this post makes me want to make a batch.0 -

I haven't tried with English cucumbers, I will next time. I usually peel and seed the regular ones, then shred and sit it on paper towel for a half hour or so. I've never used the food processor. Another tip for next time.
If you want a thicker sauce, you can strain the greek yogurt overnight in a cheesecloth.
I also love using mint and dill instead of just one or the other. Mmm.0 -
