  • I hate when I go to add food to my diary and it doesn't have grams as an option for serving size. But since I have got this memorized: 1 oz ~= 28.5 grams 8 oz ~= 228 grams 1tbsp~= 15 grams 1tsp ~= 5 grams And I get that that won't work for all liquids as some are more dense, (like honey/butter, etc), but it holds up to be…
  • Cheese is my life.. this sounds horrible. Please send me all your cheese express overnight mail please.
  • The problem with these kinds of posts is that there will be no help given and no help received. If you're not logging your food accurately, with a food scale, in MFP how are we as a group supposed to help? When pressed for the logs, excuses are fired back... You say it's a hassle to log, I can assure you, you're not being…

  • I got it too... ha It's funny how easy to tell that was spam... everyone on this site knows how to lose weight, counting calories not some silly super secret food.
  • Mmm, so many goodies in this thread. I might evolve this to ice cream year as suggested. And, I do need to catch up to some of you ice cream champs.
  • I am thinking gelato... Yeah! Lots of fruit stuff on top too.
  • @davpul I admit it kinda sucks, but it's what is fitting my macros at the moment... giving it a try.
  • @richln hardcore! Pass the chocolate syrup.
  • @3dogsrunning you're probably right though... Just trying to lighten everyone up. @acheben Awesome... but yeah I am bad at starting trends.
  • You can eat it until next tuesday? I techincally started yesterday... so :+1: I can start it whenever!
  • nobody likes ice cream?
  • I don't mean to troll or start a flame war here but... water is water... frozen/liquid/gas. It is not liquid when it is frozen... same rule applies to... all the elements in the universe. The real question at hand... is yogurt a liquid or a solid?
  • So i've come across this before and I usually will search the internets for something comparable, but if nothing can be found, extreme measures are to be taken.... I will take what I believe to be 1/2 a cup, melt it in the microwave, measure it out to exactly 150 MLs or whatever (you'll need a metric measurement). The…
  • @TheBeachgod Depressing yes... but now I know why I got so dang fat! @pitbullmamaliz I do this on a regular basis, and I believe I have the exact same scale. For things that require a spoon, I do negative weight... zero it out... spoon out peanut butter (or whatever) because I know I am going to lick that spoon!
  • This just made me spit out a mouthful of water. LOL It's not free, it's a gimmicky diet/quick fix type thingie from the looks of it.
  • Check out the wirecutter, they have all kinds of 'tested' products. http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-wired-exercise-headphones/ for example. Personally I went for the 'budget' version on this page and they work great!…
  • I used to do P90X and some of those P90X3 workouts. They work!... just keep pushing play. I am not currently doing P90X but feel free to add me if you want some help/motivation on the workouts.
  • @FarewellBlues absolutely. I am a huge nerd and I love math, so it's fun to see daily changes. Here is a screen shot of my Happy Scale logging and you can see the wild fluctuations. Everyday can be different, but the solid blue line is my moving average, going down!
  • Been looking for some daily logging friends too. Open diary and IIFYM here.
  • Unfortunately it is not possible to gain muscle while cutting calories below maintenance. Also, your weight will fluctuate. Weighing in weekly, it's possible you hit a fluctuation that seems like you’ve lost no weight (fat). This can be frustrating and demotivating. I know this first hand. I recommend weighing in daily,…
  • I am addicted to weighing my food... people give me funny looks weighing my coffee mug full of coffee, zeroing it out and adding cream :) Make sure you weigh all your high calorie foods! I usually put a plate down on my scale, zero it out, add food item 1, zero it out, add food item 2... etc. I like the negative weight…
  • @seska422 that flow chart about covers it. Good one. The only reason you gain fat is if you eat more calories than you burn, your body will store the extra energy as fat. "Weight" is a different matter. If we're talking a single kilo (2.2lbs)... that's normal.
  • Congrats. I too just hit this milestone a couple weeks ago, it's a great feeling. P.S. I'd get on your son to pick up his pace. :)
  • @chaoticdreams Wow -- a day off for fallout 4! Impressive. I really need to try that game. Played all the Elder Scrolls games, more into CS:GO right now (LEM). Looking for workout/nerd friends too. Add me and we can share some steam id's.
  • Nice spreadsheet! I also have a spreadsheet with goals, etc. When I log, I log seriously. My wife yells at me for weighing everyday too. I love to see results, even if it's minor. Even gains is recorded, those are "results" even though I am trying to lose. I love seeing the correlation between what I eat and my weight…
