  • Keep up the good work! I've never been able to even go an hour after a wake up in the morning without first eating breakfast. Now I can go until about 11:30-1:00. Don't even get shaky or Hangry!
  • I'm writing this for my sis. We were talking last night about this (she's also doing keto and has lost 42 pounds since Dec 15) she says... "I can easily get into a small bathroom stall now - you know the kind when you open the door and have to straddle the toilet paper holder in order to get in!" LOL
  • I think your list is great! ❤️
  • Well welcome back!
  • Thanks everyone for your insight, encouragement and educating me - Loved the video and started following her :)
  • Hey need2move2 I notice that as well. Losing inches when not losing pounds. This morning I was pretty sure I'd lost - had that skinny feeling lol, but didn't lose an ounce. Got dressed and felt skinnier in my jeans. LOVE!
  • The last couple of weeks I've started to do IF. Before keto I couldn't even go an hour after waking up in the morning before getting the shakes and that hangry feeling that goes up in your throat. Being almost 7 weeks into keto I can go from 4:30 pm to 11:00 am and once I did 1:30 pm and then I wasn't even hungry but felt…
  • I know that I'm not in control yet - or does that ever come? My mouth still starts to drool when thinking of having a brownie, or roll or a cookie or an ice cream. Be right back I have to wipe the drool off lol.. Seriously though does it ever get better? Almost to my 7 weeks in keto.
  • 2t9nty: My husband is also T2 and his sugar levels have been so great on this life style change. Good things to come!
  • SUPER 2t9bty! That's a win! Lessons learned for me. In time, I hope I can become more committed as I see more rewards. We are such a sugar-filled society. Aisle and Aisles of it at the grocery store!
  • LOL before indulging yesterday, I was thinking to myself. "okay after Easter, I'll go off keto for my birthday in June". I'm thinking not!
  • So true River_Goddess. Thank you for your encouraging words!
  • I feel super guilty too. Had a good workout this morning and doing IF to use up the reserves - I was knock out of ketosis :( not a surprise though. Even while I was eating the cookie I knew I'd be :(
  • I just don't hit the complete button :)
  • Welcome to keto :) Tomorrow will be week 6 for me. IF will help get you into keto - using up your reserves. I got my flu about 3-4 days in. I drank broth and take magnesium - which really helps. The above posters are correct - salt is a big deal so make sure you're doing that. Good luck! I've noticed a huge difference in…
  • how many servings?
  • You will love it! My husband and I both started 5-6 weeks ago and love doing this together! Good luck and happy cooking/eating together :)
  • I"m not diabetic - but had/have the onset of pre diabetes (over weight). Eating low carb has really really helped with my blood sugar levels. I don't spike and drop like I use to.
  • Before starting the keto - I exercised. When I started the keto I waited for about 2 weeks. It took me about a week to get into a good keto and get my energy up to feel comfortable lifting and cardio.
  • I"m scared to do net carbs. My weight loss has been slow - well good for me but comparing myself to others that are on it - slow. I am super dedicated and obeying all the rules :) tracking everything, exercising, staying below 20 total carbs, and eating between 1000 to 1200 daily and keeping my macros as close to my goals…
  • Feeling better today - took some calcium/mag and ate more sodium. I've only been on a week so I"m expecting this will get a little better everyday HOWEVER I have noticed a change for the better with my joints/muscles being less stiff YAY!!
  • Thanks so much for the post kpk54 and tcunbeliever. I have never tried a LCHF diet before - so this process of listening to my body is very new. Now I will eat lunch and see what happens - steak and salad :) I might have let my blood sugar get too low (waiting too long in between meals) before eating. Maybe I spiked and…
  • Not sure on the percentage but my resting calories are 1560 and I'm staying between 1000 and 1200. On days I exercise I'm more depending on the intensity. Before this diet I did not use salt, BUT I have been salting my food. Maybe I need more salt?
  • thanks midwesterner85 for your response. This was very informative. I do have a lot to lose (60 pounds). I will choose my calories wisely. I'm to only eat protein my first week, then introduce veggies on the second week.
  • I"m not to exceed 600 daily (800) when working out. I'm trying to eat over 70 grams of protein daily. It's just hard to keep the calories down and try to get to that 30 carbs. Yesterday was only 13 carbs by the time I reached 700 calories. I'll for sure get more salt. Already feeling a bit foggy. We have been told to drink…
  • It was my first try but I'm excited to try more with it. :)
  • My advice would to just watch calories and get moving. Start out slow - you're changing your life, not just losing weight.
  • Wow - thanks so much, especially Whierd. You make it sound so simple. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I will give this a whirl. This simple advice makes me excited to get started.
  • Most often it takes your body time to realize your serious. My suggestion is to be patient. I know it's hard when you're not seeing results. Keep up the good work with the exercising. It will pay off. Just wait for it and maybe stop weighing yourself. I use to weigh every week, but when I didn't see results, I would get so…
