  • CAN SOMEONE PLEASE CONFIRM THIS? lol I run the spartan race in Toronto this weekend. Are the burpees the ones that include the pushups? Also Miracole, if you get this in time - what would you say were the hardest obstacles you encountered - and any tips in particular for them? Thanks for your advice!

  • good advice, thanks!
  • I do do it now and then. And nothing noticebly happens. I work out pretty hard the other six days of the week and eat pretty healthy, so sometimes I reward myself with an "anything goes" cheat day. I was just curious if there really is a limit to the amount of calories a body can store/absorb in one day.
  • When I read "desire" in the title, I thought we were talking about what foods we wanted to eat today. As I clicked into this thread I was already mentally preparing to write a long post about my favorite sushi combo until I read what this was actually about. So instead of sushi, ill change my answer to patience - yeh,…
  • I start my first month 2 workout today. Im excited yet nervous. I havent done any peeking at the videos so I have no idea what Im in store for. Month 1 was definitely fun, but most people make it sound like month 1 was just a preparation for the second half. I hope Shaun T kicks my butt, he better because I sure ate a lot…
  • WOW! You look FANTASTIC!! well done!!!!!
  • If you read the other insanity threads..........there are a number of people who actually claimed to gain weight in the first month but all of them said month 2 was a different story. You may be losing inches not lbs as muscle weighs more than fat. Im sure if you keep it up till month 2 youll start to see the lbs drop.
  • Taco Bell specifically, 2 cheesy chilli burritos fries supreme ice tea. brings back some good memories...
  • hmmm...don't focus so much are trying to make yourself "get mad" at certain comments from the people around you. Youll lose weeks wondering why youre not reacting the way you think you should be when your son tells you your capris are getting tight. The fact is, when you work out to be fit, its not for them and it shouldnt…

  • Run down to the main floor, run back up to your floor Do 10 squats Do 10 Jumping Jacks Do 5 Burpees And do 15 Situps Then repeat that 7 times. *oh yeh, and do it as fast as you can. Make it harder by upping the reps.
  • Nah, you look great. Most guys don't think before they speak. He probably meant it as something harmless and you definitely shouldn't overanalyze it. Whenever anybody sheds a lot of weight people wonder if they went through proper avenues (fitness and nutrition). But there is a huge distinction between being anorexic thin…
  • blah need more motivation if i'm going to survive month 2. took two days off last week to rest for a soccer tournament and finding it very hard to get back into it. Today I did a makeup insanity workout from last week in substitution for core cardio and balance. Also, i really hope month 2 brings some changes to my body as…
  • Such an inspiration, Im so glad I clicked on this thread to read. You deserve all the happiness that comes your way, and I know there will be a lot more in your future!! Thank you so much for sharing your story!!
  • Did you calculate your caloric intake with the Harris Benedict equation? Personally (and Im no expert) I find that the number I got through this equation was a little overshot. When I punched the numbers in it told me I should be eating 3400 calories a day to maintain my weight. Compared to every other method/equation Ive…
  • Woah those are some awesome numbers!! I have a feeling im burning similar amounts on my workouts! Keep up the good work!!
  • Hey! Good luck on your journey! Theres really nothing to be nervous about. Insanity is a HIIT (high intensity interval training) program that everyone admits is hard to do, but nobody expects you to be able to do everything in it without missing a beat. Even the people on the screen need their breaks, heck, even Shaun T…
  • oh awesome, thanks!
  • Just my 2 cents... At this point try to make exercise more of a social event. Like someone above mentioned, sports may be an option. Personally, what I recommend is to join something called CrossFit. In my opinion, that'll solve a lot of your problems. Crossfit is a fitness elite program that is similar to a gym in the way…
  • I dont have a HRM but I've been meaning to get one. In the meantime I have used the insanity nutrition book to calculate the daily caloric intake I should be getting and have set it into my MFP so I don't have to log my exercise. I know its different for every person, but out of curiousity - what type of calorie counts are…
  • Am i the only one who dreads cardio recovery! I find that one really hard haha. I can never stay in a deep seated squat position as long as Shaun T wants , lol the burn is too much! Im a big fan of plyo, which is tonight's workout. Love the basketball drills, love pushing myself on pushups and floor sprints!
  • Congrats! For me it was around week 3 where I finished my first warmups without missing a beat and no breaks! Its fun to see your endurance grow!
  • Interesting.......you may be really flexible as it is - I feel all the stretches in the video. Focus on making sure your toes are pointed in the right direction, knees are never bent, and push (lead) with your chest. Unless your chest is right there hugging your thighs on some stretches then it means theres still room for…
  • Good luck!! First week is the best, start strong and thatll help you finish strong. The best part is seeing that pool of sweat when youre done. I look like ive come out of a shower right after an insanity workout!
  • Stay motivated everyone!! If you're in your fourth week you're almost half way there and there's no turning back! We wont let all this progress go to waste! If you're in your first week then keep fighting! The results are worth it!! Don't get bogged down on one or two bad workouts. The important thing is to stay committed…
  • Also found on another forum: "Tips: 1. Put extra padding on ur floor. I use those interlocking foam mats and throw a cushioned area rug on top of that. 2. Wear good Crosstrainers - Running shoes don't give enough support 3. Land on ur toes with ALL of the jumps 4. Check ur form. Bad form on squats and lunges lead to knee…
  • Insanity is really lower body/leg intensive.....I've got no advice on the recovery process (maybe someone else can help chime in on that) but if you decide to continue really take Shauns advice and try not to compromise form. Do that by going slower, not just trying to pump out as many reps possible, focus on Landing…
  • took the day off and my groin is feeling much better! Instead I hit the gym and put some work in the upper body. Going to make it up by doing a double on the Cardio recovery day. I see a lot of people are doing 2nd rounds of Insanity, or Insanity/P90 Hybrids, how come people don't take up Hip Hop Abs? Shaun T is hilarious…
  • Looks like I found the perfect thread as I am right on track with you guys, 2nd day into my third week. I had heard prior to starting insanity that around the third week is when most people begin to lose motivation/quit. I must admit, within the first week or so i've seen a lot of changes to my body which have kind of…
