Is this true?

Heard someone say once that 'if you were going to eat bad, you should do it all in one day because your body can only absorb a limit of fat and calories a day'. Is this true? I have a thing for mexican food, pizza and sushi. Some days I get tempted to do a 6000 calorie day and eat all three.

If that were true, there wouldn't be people that need to get cut out of their homes.0

I don't think that's true, but if you want to do that, take an Alli beforehand & you won't absorb 25% of the fat ...Just stay home the next day though0

It's the basis of the "4 Hour Body", an extremely dull slow-carb diet all week then an anything goes blow-out. I don't think any serious nutritionists would recommend it, and it doesn't fit in with MFP's way of doing things!0

I do do it now and then. And nothing noticebly happens. I work out pretty hard the other six days of the week and eat pretty healthy, so sometimes I reward myself with an "anything goes" cheat day. I was just curious if there really is a limit to the amount of calories a body can store/absorb in one day.0

I think the supposed 'limit' that exists is when the bowels basically explode due to the amount of fat consumed; the intestines will tell you they have reached their absorption limit.
Numerous BM's in a day that occur rapidly after eating may cut down on any weight gain just like vomiting after eating or laxatives – neither method is recommended.
I would recommend indulging in just one of those meals, 1x a week to keep your heart healthy first and foremost rather than worrying about the calories and weight loss.0 -
