Hi, I'm 42 and had a double hip replacement 5 years ago. I have an amazing surgeon who works with me rather than confining my progress. Post op I swam and walked, got to the point where I was swimming regular 5k at the pool. I had to teach myself front crawl and stopped doing breaststroke. Now I mainly do crawl and a bit…

Go on speedo.co.uk and get a pair off there they are all chlorine resistant and last up to 20 times as long as normal swim suits. I have one of their leg suits, so far its lasted for 8 months and you know how much I swim!!! Lol Yes you pay a bit more but its well worth it in the long run. Hope this helps chick Xxx

A hound is worth every penny you pay for it. We've got a Springer Spaniel and bought her from the breeder she gives back so much love all the time. She is the best thing we have ever bought in our lives. All you really have to consider is the breed you buy as some are better at being left than others. Ours needs constant…

I got my Fitbit for my Birthday yesterday and have used it for the first time today and LOVE IT!!! I have walked to the post box instead of driving, paced up and down whilst on the phone and taken the dog for a walk. It's certainly a kick start to upping exercise. Xxxx

If you sit in a high back chair and sit as tall and straight as you can. Put your hands under your thighs palm up and lift your shoulders. My doctor advised me to do this as it is gentle and you have the resistance of your hand being under your leg not weights. Xxx

Get a swim watch. I got the poolmate off Amazon, you put in weight, length of pool and which hand you wear the watch on. Then as you swim it calculates your burn and how many lengths you have swam. Fab toy and very accurate. Check this Link…

This is the stuff I use http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Sun-Swim-Gym-Shampoo-Normal-Dry-250ml_16309/ I cant wear a swimming hat as it gives me a headache but the shampoo keeps my red for longer. Never as long as if I didn't swim though. Xxxx

Thanks Hun, I'm gonna need it!! Lol Xx

I'm concentrating on distance endurance at the moment. I did 5k in 95 minutes last week. I'm going for 8k Friday anything under 3 hours will be fab. Xxx

I have the Poolmate and it's fab. It counts laps, calories, efficiency and speed. To be honest it's made my swim into a competition now. I try to beat previous days performances. It never looses laps either and no button pressing it does it automatically. Got mine off amazon for £58 and I wouldn't swim without it now. Xxx

Fab results Hun Xxx

Morning all, this is supposed to be forecast as the hottest October day since records began so I'm thinking of having a BBQ!!!!!! That sounds so wrong, a BBQ in Blighty normally ends in rain. Lol I've got to get the patio set back out of the shed as with the wet summer in the north it was put away in July. Enjoy your sunny…
