Hi Neon, It can be a little overwhelming @ first ... but trust me ... it really isn't all it is made out to be ... just take any dish you like and remove the meat and dairy/eggs ... there are plenty of substitutes nowadays to just sub in recipes. I am a vegan bodybuilder .. so I can't think of anything more challenging…

I second Megan ... I recently transitioned to smoothies ... I was NEVER a fan of the smoothie concept ... I always thought it was a waste of calories and not filling enough ... but I was wrong ... I now have a low-carb protein smoothie shake - and add fresh fruit and so forth ... so I can just hop in the car and "eat"…

haha ... there are chemicals in that crap that are just addictive ... keep driving by ... the stuff will kill you! I can only say this now that I have lost 160 lbs ... I too ... at one point was in line @ the drive-thru :blushing:

Well there is the debate between processed and whole foods ... obviously the peppers have been "processed" into a powder/liquid ... but overall ... I usually exclude spices and items like hot sauce and try to find ones without preservatives and ingredients I don't find in nature ... Even the USDA does not consider spices…

Ah ... a tough one with a thousand opinions! If you want to gain muscle ... you need to replace it with lean protein and complex carbs in order to build muscle ... to lose fat ... stick to protein and lower carbs ... but don't undereat and put stress on your body ... when you work out ... your body does need building…

For me ... it was all about focusing on my decisions ... every decision is either right or wrong for your health. Keep asking over and over until it works ... Is this the best decision for my happiness and health? Eventually you'll get it ... it just takes a while to build strength ...

These are all person-dependent ... For me ... sodium and sugar are the killer ... either of them resulting in MAGICAL weight gain. So I limit my sodium to less than 2,000mg a day IF I am exercising ... If not ... I cut it down to 1500mg ... no sweat = less salt Sugar? Well, I did the Atkins diet for 5 years and lost 100lbs…
