  • Hi all! My name is David and I live in Reading, PA... I know... apology accepted! LOL
  • Living Years - Mike and the Mechanics :ohwell:
  • My name is David... welcome to MFP!!! Please add me if you like... I like to motivate and also like being motivated. If you're up to the task, let's do this!!! I have a bunch of people that make it happen every day! They have become my MFP family! WE accomplish goals together! It's never easy, but we're their for each…
  • Thank you BOTH... I wish you luck... first thing... stop calling it a diet... It's not... it's a new way of life! This is something you can/ should stick to the rest of your life, not just until the weight is lost. That's what a diet says to me. "Once I lose..."... no.. it's about setting goals.... hitting those goals and…
  • If you're serious about weight loss you should cut it out altogether. But to Merril's point, if you need to, it's ok as long as it's within your calories. The problem is not only the nutritional value, but the high sodium content of fast food. I'm not saying to deprive yourself, but it is so much healthier to cook for…
  • I look like my twin brother!!! :-)
  • Stunningly beautiful! Both inside and out!
  • I agree with birdlover... show us your diary and let's see.. there are so many factors... for me sodium is huge... I was wondering somedays that I barely ate anything yet I wouldn't lose... with a lot of sodium, your body might retain water more than most people. Don't be frustrated. You're doing the right things,…
  • If you're truly serious (and it seems like you are) you really should invest in a HRM (heart rate monitor). They will give you accurate readings on what you're losing in calories based on your heart rate. Just my opinion. I got one lasy week and I couldn't be happier!
  • I'm all about it!!! You can add me! Good luck!!!!!! Let's do it!
  • Sorry, but I feel the need to chime in here... So your husband will be "unhappy" if you lose your Double D's... What a pity! Tell him I'LL be unhappy if you stay at a weight that is threatening to your health! That should be the most important thing here. That's why you're here isn't it? If I was lucky enough to have a…
  • Rosalee... all you can do is try and explain to your parents that you're NOT eating badly or too little. If your parents are anything like mine, remember they are old school and they grew up having to "finish everything on their plate". Reassure them that you are fine and that you know what you're doing. Don't be afraid to…
  • Welcome Lauren! You can add me as a friend if you like! We can motivate each other until our goals are accomplished!!!!!! Best of luck to you!
in HI!! Comment by DaveShoreshe August 2011
  • You definitely can!!! Add me as a friend and we'll do it together!!!!!!!! Strength in numbers, my friend! STRENGTH IN NUMBERS!!!!!!!!!
  • I agree with emma... people sometimes set unrealistic goals for themselves. It's unfortunate because your body DOES need calories. I am at 1540, but with my daily exercise, I take in about 1800+ calories.
  • Look at it as a lifestyle change and not a diet... Don't be afraid to lean on people, the support on this site is tremendous! Write down your goals, keep a journal and reward yourself when you've accomplished certain goals... Other than that, enjoy the fact that you're doing something great for yourself and enjoy your time…
  • I agree with ivansmomma... ou need to eat more... you're doing more damage than good when your body doesn't get enough nutrients. It will go crazy looking for it! Eat throughout the day. Small portions... take in during the course of the day at least 1800 calories. Use exercise to bring the calories down. Your body will…
  • You've come to the right place! You'll get all the support and inspiration you need to succeed in your goals! Welcome! Buckle in, cause it's gonna be a wild ride!!! Enjoy!
  • Don't be disappointed! The past is the past... Every new day is a gift, that's why we call it the "present"!! Get back to what you were doing and feel good moving forward. Everyone slips up! It takes a stronger person to acknowledge it, learn from it and benefit from it. You can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
