  • I borrowed the It Starts With Food book from my library. I'm gonna finish reading it and I plan to start on April 19! It seems like it will help with some medical issues I have. Eliminating sugar and grains won't be a problem for me, thank goodness!
  • I'm adding y'all :-) My GC name is 5ive4fit

  • If I could reach thru cyberspace and give you a hug, I would!! :flowerforyou:  With all the work you've done, please try your best not to focus on the scale!! For women, the scale is the devil  I agree pretty much with what everyone else has posted!! If you're active...then you've gotta eat!!! Even tho that…
  • Hey fitterpam!! I just heard about myo-inositol yesterday while reading about how to balance hormones and PCOS. I saw some info on www.pcosdiva.com and myo-inositol.com. I'm trying to remember which site I saw that mentioned about splitting the dosage in half and that should help with bloating or any other digestive issues…

  • Hey! Check out this protein calculator http://www.healthcalculators.org/calculators/protein.asp It can provide a rough estimate of how much protein you should have daily based on age, sex, activity level, and height. However, like some of the other posters stated, just be mindful of any health concerns you may have. Other…
  • Y'all will do great...even if you start out 80% clean, it's better than nothing :-) I've been 90% clean eating for 4wks now...actually 95% lol!! I fall short some times, especially with my snacking. But other than that I'm cooking all of my meals and finding recipes online for snacks I can make at home!! good luck to…
  • :flowerforyou: I'm pretty sure they were some young, immature girls who have their own identity issues to deal with!! Keep your head up and keep moving!! You'll probably never see them again...and even if you do, keep doing you!! You're making strides to make yourself healthier!!! When I see anybody walking/jogging, I…
  • Hey y'all! I'm currently clean eating and I've been about 95% clean for about 4wks now! I'm doing pretty good!! It can get a little expensive, but I cook for 1 so it's not too bad lol!

  • Thanks for all of your responses!! I'm trying my best to get a flow going with my working out. I started crossfit about 6weeks ago. I think I'm gonna run the days I don't crossfit!! Thanks again everyone!! :-)
  • Hey there!! I bought mine from Target for $100!! It includes everything that you see on the infomercial!! I just bought mine on Saturday and I really like it!!! I have the Ninja too, but the Nutribullet, in my opinion, is so much better for making smoothies! Nutribullet really "breaks down" the food far better than Ninja!…

  • i've been doing everything else under the sun besides Nike Kinect training lol!! But i do like it!! I just don't like doing a lotta floor workouts and I think that's why I haven't been consistent with it! But I'm gonna get it back together and add y'all as friends..that way I can have some buddies to help keep me motivated…
  • @VKanzler I think counting to count your calories while doing South Beach will keep your calorie counting habits in tact. I think it's a good practice and you should continue to count. Also, try to eat more food! I know on SBD the foods don't add up to many calories, but try to eat more! Good luck on your journey!!
  • Thanks ladies so much for the info! I notice when I don't move my foot often enough, it gets stiff and it's achey once I finally get up to walk on it. Today there's actually no pain! Hmmm...I've got this week and next week on the C25k so hopefully I won't have anymore pain and I can get thru it! We'll see!! @Frankie…
  • Wed 01/30/13 11:25 PMI completed W5D3 tonight. I felt great and had no problem finishing the 20 minute run. Yay! But as soon as I slowed down to a walk, I felt an unusual pain in my right foot. It's hard for me to describe, but it's sort of below my ankle on the outside of my right foot. It hurts a little to walk on it.…

  • Hey mrsmalcolm!! I did the south beach diet a few years ago, and it helped me lose 15lbs! For me it didn't really help alleviate the symptoms and that may have been because mine weren't that strong. I had irregular periods (birth control helped) and very little chin hair. I've gradual lost weight on my own for a while but…

  • Hey there!! I use a heart rate monitor from time to time, but I found it was bothersome to wear the chest strap....most of the chest straps instructions say to wear it as tight as possible to get the best readings. Well, I couldn't breathe lol!! So, I looked into buying a heart rate monitor for the wrist and bought a…
