  • Hey guys, A lot of people don't realise how critical the role of hormones is when it comes to eating well and getting the most out of your training. Most people will want to either lose or gain but getting your body to work optimally is the key. Must admit when I first started doing weights, I even thought.....3 sessions a…
  • Hey, Check out this book.....it's pretty interesting and very insightful in what to do (and not do): https://www.philrichardsperformance.co.uk/index.php/ultimate-fat-loss-manual.html
  • I did indeed. Worked hard, changed my nutrition and it paid off. Good luck with your journey on here!
  • This is completely absurd.
  • Just because you're losing body fat, doesn't mean you have to lose muscle. If you eat right and train correctly, you can lose body fat whilst gaining lean muscle. I saw a fat loss specialist, sorted out my nutrition and did PT sessions with them. Dropped 9.1% body fat in 8 weeks and gained around 7kg of lean muscle. My…
  • Is it weight you're wanting to lose or body fat? There is a difference. Personally, you need to change your macros.....I'd go with a 40p/40f/20c or 30p/35f/35c. You also need to work out and make sure you are eating enough, calories wise a day to support your lifestyle. Hope that helps!
  • If it was me, get a 2nd opinion but, I use a wellness greens powder. It has around 20/25 fruits and vegetables in it and, it helps with detoxification too. It's made my Poliquin. They have an online store. It's around £27 for a tub which will last a month. if you want something cheaper then in the UK, TPW does one for…
  • Optimise your diet and training! You don't need this supplement! You can achieve it through the first two!!
  • Hello! I've not read everyone's responses as I'm dropping on my feet...............but, I swear by this! Work out your TDEE from the following: http://www.jillianmichaels.com/index.aspx?puid=5d32cf69-8d08-4154-b0b4-1a14b7aeca74&issueid=17759 My advice to the Original Poster is to start and eat your TDEE for a few weeks to…
  • A week or two before I'm due on I swell up and carry water like a balloon. Once the red river hits me, I lose my appetite and the swelling goes away *happy days*....... Men have it SO easy! Discuss lol
  • Shabba! I beleive it depends on your calorie consumption and the quality of food and drinks you have. Also, the more exercise you do, the more efficiently your body works at burning fat. You need to try and build more muscle versus body fat, if you're wanting to lose weight. Little and often is the key if your life allows…
  • I have a cooked chicken breast with a bowl of soup, protein plus carbs! Ta-dah....slower digestion and, lower in carbs than having bread with it!
  • Right I've redone them for you! BMR - 1531 Activity Level - 1.15 BMR x AL - 1761 Daily Exercise Burn - 129 cals (this is based on 3 x 45 mins sessions a week of dancing, walking and a step class) TDEE (BMR x AL + Daily exercise burn) - 1890 -10% = 1701 cals -15% = 1607 cals -20% = 1512 cals Like I say, if it was me, I'd go…
  • I'll rejig your calculations now....
  • Hello! Right, I've worked out your TDEE which is what you need to eat in order to maintain your current weight. I've also worked out your BMR and Activity LEVEL too. • Hi flower, Right, the exercise. How long do you do it for and for what intensity? It's just so I can work out your TDEE properly. I use a different formula to MFP but it seems to work. No problem, don't mind helping! Sarah :)
  • Hi, what are your stats! Either on here or by mail, send me your: Age Height Weight Activity level (what you do on a daily basis work wise) The amount of exercise and type you do each week I will work out your TDEE for you and how much you should be eating. Sarah :)
  • Take a Chromium supplement to help settle your blood sugar level. A Magnesium supplement would help reduce your chocolate cravings too! It's as simple as this, do you want to change your weight, yes or no? If not, then please yourself. If you do, then stop having the things that have put you into the situation you're…
  • Hi there! I was advised to remove stimulants from my diet along with the rest of the advice I posted in order to stabilise my blood sugar levels. This took around 2 weeks to happen and then, I was able to have the odd coffee, 2 a week. From a health point of view for myself, this worked wonders so I personally think having…
  • Based on my appointments with a Nutritionist from Jan - Aug this year, I'd recommend: Lean proteins Complex carbohydrates Fresh fruit Fresh veg Dairy Water Decaf drinks Plain, unsalted, unroasted nuts Go for Whole Earth peanut butter, it has no added sugar to it. Aim for three meals and 2-3 snacks a day too. Cut out the…
  • I use the Polar FT60 and love it to be honest! It will say whether I need to train less in a certain zone, and it will also say whether my performance, fitness or fat burning is improving so it constantly motivates me!
  • I always use this for calculating my BMR and TDEE. http://www.jillianmichaels.com/fitness-and-diet-tips/determining-your-AMR Because you are quite low, I'd say nothing more than a 10% reduction in your TDEE to be honest. You should want to eat as much as you can whilst still losing................In all honesty, you may be…
  • Jillian Michaels - 30 Day Shred Well worth getting! 3 different levels, each one has basic and advanced moves!
  • Fear not, I will help you! Today is a new day and the start of you turning things around....time to be positive! Your healthy weight range is 8st 5lb to 10 st 6 lb for your height. • Hola! Well done on the weight loss, that's some achievement! We all know how hard it is to lose it, but how easy it is to gain it back! It's a bugger. I've had a quick look through your diary and the thing that stands out is, based on what I know from my own personal weight loss journey, and my from my nurtionist…
  • Hey..........see my response here! I've had a quick lookt hrough your diary. You are not eating enough. It's as simple as that.....Work out your TDEE as per my link below then reset your goals on MFP using the "Custom feature". • Shabba! Right, you really need to work out what your true TDEE is. Like someone pointed out, this question has been posted and answered many times however, I don't mind giving my input again and trying to help someone on here, the forums are good for support! It is important you eat enough to fuel your body throughout the…
