So I have to try to figure out how this works. I'm mostly a walker but enjoy 5 and 10K's. Mostly for after race party. So, do we post our activity on these threads? BTW, been on MFP since 2011.

Been on here since 2011 lots of friends seem to have fallen to the wayside. We never lose our need for supportive friends. It’s give and take. Friend me if you like.

Log everything you eat. That right there helps curb unconscious grazing. The good the bad the ugly. .. Log it all. It's a gift to yourself. After a couple weeks you will see yourself making changes. Remember. .. you are worth it.

Hey Linda! I just want to say congratulations on your loss so far! While I agree that your calorie range seems low, it may be what you needed to kick start your journey. We are all different and our metabolisms vary. Since you are feeling well and sleeping well, I would simply encourage you to listen to your body. And make…

Good morning! I think we all feel your pain from time to time. I can imagine seeing the number on the scale took your breath away. I totally agree with tinkerbell. Just do what you have to do to get back on track. I too am an emotional eater. Look it up in the dictionary and there is my picture, lol. Anyway, log everything…

You being so young, my heart aches for you. I pray you find that balance. I have a friend on here with extremely painful arthritis. She manages it by going pretty much carb free. Sugar is such an inflammatory agent. This lady eats lean proteins, fats and a few salad greens. And she is able to walk again! I wish you the…

Good morning! This is my 6th year and I'm in maintenance and its a struggle. It is all about being real and honest on here. My diary is open. The good the bad and the ugly! I am looking for friends for continued mutual support. We're in a marathon, not a sprint!

Clean, as in unprocessed foods? Yeah, that's hard. That's ideal. I eat in a vegetarian way except maybe twice a month. But I typically walk 3 miles or more per day and I'm about to go out for my first run in two weeks. Cooler weather and 5K's are a comin'! I too am looking for supportive friends with whom I can mutually…

No, no, no you will not let this wreck your plans! Stick with the plan - keep logging your food. I love fitnessblender.com. Lots and lots of free workouts. Get yourself some handweights. Jillian only uses 3lb hand weights. You'd be amazed at how they increase your intensity and heartrate therefore your burn. If you do…

Girl, you've lost 52 pounds!! Awesome work! I'm in maintenance. I too work to log in everyday and do my diary most days and try to be supportive. Yes, friend me if you like.

I too prefer frozen. I think I heard somewhere the nutrients are preserved in the freezing process. Even more so than if you buy fresh and keep them in your refrigerator for five days. As far as sodium in canned, a rinse in the colander before cooking usually helps that.

I was born and raised in Mobile!! Welcome aboard MFP! Keep with it, you'll be glad :)

You are not alone. I find I don't want to eat meat from fast food. So, that's good reason to just buys the milk shakes, right?

My unexpected c-section with twins in 1995 has left me with this shelf like area just over the incision. No, It's never completely gone away despite being in better shape and weighing about the same now as when I became pregnant. (5'8" and 136). I never carried weight in my stomach before. It's like because they had to cut…

Hey, I'm Melissa and I'm a Binge eater. There are periods where I, too, live to eat. I used to feel like there was something wrong with me because I couldn't control it. So, you are not alone. Finally, somehow at age 50, I have finally overcome alot of that stuff. But it still rears it's ugly head and sneaks up on me. So,…

Plus consider the source. Americans are experiencing an obesity epidemic!! On one episode of Biggest Loser, one contestent said she didn't consider herself obese because she was ONLY 300 lbs! I guess that's the new normal. Thanks. I'll pass.

This past year I've lost over 20 lbs. Before that I was pushing out of my sz 14 jeans and large tops. I'm 5'8" and lost down to sz 8 with med tops. I guess the change was so profound looking, because I'm tall, EVERYONE has remarked on my weight loss. At first, it's so nice to receive that positive attention and…

Focus on that awesome NSV - those are what propel us thru this journey. Believe me!

On here, I've referred to my husband, John, as hubby a couple of times. I think simply because I see other ladies doing it. I think it's more of an endearment, at least for me. It depends on the individual. Obviously, your spouse, your wife, wouldn't do that as she would know your preferences. But I wouldn't want to be…
