  • Rosey I have been post stalking this for a number of days and I finally have to chime in, I LOVE your attitude. Hopefully, one day I will fine the courage and determination to embrace this lifestyle with the same attitude as you! Kudos!
  • The reasons to exclude have been gone over above. But if you are interested in grains, I would start with ancient grains one at time. Try one, only once, and really pay attention over the next week to see they bother you. http://www.foodnavigator-usa.com/Markets/10-ancient-grains-to-watch-from-kamut-to-quinoa
  • You can also do negative (you jump then lower yourself down to starting position). However, honestly I find ring rows work better than negatives.
  • I almost forgot, you have to slowly drizzle the oil. My food processor has a small hole in the push. I pour all the oil through that and let it drizzle.
  • Make sure you are not using extra virgin olive oil. It needs to be light olive oil.
  • Don't, I like the tongue in cheek. And it's so true.
  • I finished by on ramp in December, started regular classes in January. I, as well, still have a lot of weight to lose. I could have written this whole post 8 months ago :). With that being said, the complex olymipic lifts take time to master. Work on your form first, then add weight. I am just to the point I am doing the…
  • Please read http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/high-blood-cholesterol/expert-answers/cholesterol-ratio/faq-20058006 and http://www.hughcalc.org/chol.php Total cholestrol does not mean dittly squat. Is your HDL was 20 your total cholesterol would be under 200 but you would not be any healthier. Your HDL/total…
  • if anyone has recommendation for women's shirts that are long, I would love to hear them. I'm tall (5'11") and still heavy. I would love something that would cover my butt when it is up in the air. Right now, I can only find it in men's shirts.

  • I love this idea and I'm going to so start doing it!!!
  • Sorry I just looked at it again, I use the one from Brookstone. I was pricey but 5 years later it is still kicking. My falls off mid night but I typically find and put it back on, but I don't like it super tight. You can make it as tight as you like.…
  • I have been more off than on since my Mom passed away in August. Right now, I am 5 days away from a month long vacation where I will not have much control of my food. However, i have already decided come July 5, I am doing a Whole 30 and getting off this rollercoaster.
  • Not to mention, in 1998 Weight Watcher had lobbied the US government enough to change the definition of health BMI from 30 to 25!!! Overnight, thousands of people went from health to overweight with a policy change.
  • I strongly recommend a sleep mask. I never realized how crappy I slept until I started using one. We are not meant to have all the ambient light we get. Another option is covering all light sources and investing in black out shades. I choose the sleep mask, it took me about 2 weeks to get used to it, but now I have to have…
  • I use a bod pod. A training facility offers it for $25.00 in my area. From my research, it's pretty accurate.

  • Have you dramatically increased coconut products? If so, it could be that (it takes a body a little bit to adjust to coconut products or at least it did me). Did you totally eliminate diary then add it back? Or have you been eating diary the whole time? If you have been eating diary the whole time and rice is your only…
  • Foam rolling does not do much for me, a rumble roller, ouchie. It works. Talk to your coaches and try a harder roller.
  • Ha my name is Adele and when I saw this I was like WTH, i didn't post this!!! LMAO
  • I do crossfit and I am 80 pounds overweight. I also have a neck and shoulder issue from a car accident last summer. If you want to try Crossfit, I say go for it BUT, find a good box. Talk to the coaches, how long have been coaches? How will they modify for your injury? Watch a few classes, do the coaches pay attention to…
  • It is such a wonderful feeling isn't it?
  • Evo dog food is a very paleoish dog food. Arcana pacifica is a close second. I have a lab that get chronic ear infections unless she is on one of those two foods.
  • I don't consider it cherry picking eitther. But have you talked to your coaches about it? I know all boxes are different, but at ours, we often will have one person doing a different skill or WOD. Sometimes it is do to injury but most of the time it is to coordinate with their other training.
  • Usually, it's only 8 minutes or 8 more times, or you don't want to be last (which I often am). Whatever pushes me through!!!
  • Don't be afraid of fat! I start my day with a tablespoon of coconut oil. Fat will not make you fat, nor does it harm your chlolestrol (by bloodwork has improved greatly). It starts with Food (by Melissa and Dallas Hartwig), Your Personal Paleo Code (by Chris Kessler) and Practical Paleo, are all great resources.
