  • @AimeeThomasBowman my cal goal without working out is 1550, and I typically only eat 1850 the days that I do workout. If I'm hungrier than normal on my rest days, I'll allow myself to go over the 1550 - sometimes my body just needs a little extra.
  • Great! Let's all weigh in next Friday! I'm not 100% on my current weight - I have insane fluctuations around TOM. I'll weigh tomorrow morning and use it as my starting weight
  • @clarae98 good plan!! @MyHousecatDaytona did you have a weigh in day in mind? Christmas is a Sunday so we could do that! Generally I prefer Fridays though
  • Hey Ladies! I'm a mom of 2, and my youngest has some health issues, so my self care took a backseat for quite some time. He's 19 months now and I'm finally getting more serious about my weight loss. I'd love some support from other moms trying to fit it all in!
  • I'd like to join too! What day is check in day? My birthday is 2/27. I have 2 kids, one with health issues, so my self care had definitely hit the back burner! CW: 195 (midday on Sunday) Xmas GW: 188 End Jan GW: 184 Birthday GW: 179 Ultimate GW: 165
  • @clarae98 you sound like me! My son is 19 months and I keep creeping between 189-195 (time of the month water retention is crazzzy!). I'm having such a hard time losing this time around. I also have a 3.5yold daughter.
  • Add me too! I previously lost 40lbs but have had some ups and downs. I'm a mom of 2 little kiddos and have been trying to lock down my workouts and calorie intake the past month or two.
  • Hey! You can add me too! I'm a 28yo mama of 2. I used MFP before kids and lost 35-40lbs. My weight has been up and down with having them. I recently started getting serious about my weight loss but also went to visit family and fell off the wagon for 2 weeks.
  • All of my family is out of town. Family is really tough. And you need that time to adjust, so they should respect it. You may even end up late, like you said , and they wouldn't even see the baby at all! With my first was induced at 40+6 and told everyone it was at 4. I left the AM part out of that. While we didn't mind…
  • Oh man! Well...I guess just ten more weeks of that crap then (doesn't that sound crazy???). I really hope you find some relief!
  • Not sure about the compression socks, but do you cross your legs at all when you sit? I do out of habit, but when I'm pregnant it gives me be worst cankles ever!!
  • That is a lot! I'm slightly jealous of your schedule though! I'd so love to work that early in order to have the afternoons. How was it for you adjusting after baby number 2? I think my life is going to be crazy, but that I'll love the crazy little mess it turns into.
  • Shut up!!! We had that exact name picked for a girl!! We're having a boy, but still, that's not a common combination I hear of!!
  • Ahhh that's me!!! I get up at 530 if I'm working out that morning, if not I'm up by 6, off to work by 645 and home by 545/6. I typically get a second wind to spend time with my daughter but when she goes to bed I am beat!
  • You're so lucky!!! My daughter would not put up with that at all! I've found a 14min workout that I really enjoy, so if need be, my LO can hangout in her pack n play with some seldom used toys if I can't get her down for a nap before my workout. It's super hard trying to fit anything else in!
  • When are you due? With my first I wanted a boy but just knew it was a girl, and was right on! With this one I had a feeling from the moment I found out I was pregnant that it would be a boy, and sure enough, it's a little boy! I'm due march 16th :)
  • I'm due march 16th with my second. Honestly, if my appetite is outrageous, I'll eat until I'm satisfied, obviously not just junk! I find that if I work out the night before I am STARVING the next day and if I workout in the morning (around 530am) then by 10am I feel like I could eat a cow! I've been trying to stick to my…
  • What up?! Have you ladies announced your pregnancies yet??
  • I can't imagine the recovery with a c-section! I'm impressed you're going for walks! Keep up the good work! =) I had a normal delivery and started walking the day after being discharged from the hospital...very slowly! Now at 2 weeks pp I plan to do some of the easier prenatal workouts that I wouldn't do while I was…
  • I might just try this! I also really love the idea of using it for makeup remover too as I've never been able to rationalize buying the wipes specifically for that purpose. Thanks for sharing :)
  • You ladies are so crafty! I love it and wish I had your talent! I just started my maternity leave today, and it feels awesome - I actually slept well last night which I was not expecting one bit! @freeasharold - I think with my next pregnancy I'll forego the cervix checks until maybe 39 weeks. They started them at 36 and…
  • I think it largely depends on the workouts that you'll be doing. My first kb was 20lbs just for working on form. However, me and my husband started doing some really high cardio workouts with kbs and initially I had to drop down to 10lbs for the first few workouts to ensure that I kept good form with how fast paced the…
  • We did one at 17 weeks because my anatomy scan got pushed to 22 weeks and I just didn't want to wait! It was $70 or $80, I can't remember, but worth it. I also felt better knowing that I could then have the sex confirmed again at the anatomy scan before telling people what we were having!
  • This baby feels like she's about ready to bust out today! She's rolling ALL over! Only 34 days until my actual due date!
  • My maternity leave isn't paid either and I don't want to take off earlier as I'm scared I could end up being late too. The plan is to work until I have this little girl so I can spend as much time home with her as I can. I've been getting super tired, but I'd rather it this way than take off early. Good luck deciding whats…
  • I can only escape the heartburn if I take tums/rolaids before a meal that I know will trigger it. And even then I still may have it hours later! Good luck!
  • Ahh gotcha! I haven't upped my calories by trimester unless I feel like I need to eat them, which typically only occurs on days that I haven't worked out. If I didn't change my HRM but did up my cals, the additional burn would just even out somewhere in the mix. I'm glad to hear you're doing so well! =)
  • I'm 21 weeks and just updated mine. I find that my burns are about 150 more than what they were reading previously. Do you eat back your exercise cals? Have you added extra cals for different trimesters at all?
  • At my first appointment I asked my doctor about weight gain and she assumed I'd gain 35-40lbs. I honestly don't want to gain that much at all, but I don't track it myself, otherwise I'll obsess over it. She also told me that most people gain in steps, where you may go a few weeks without it, and then all of the sudden gain…
  • Oh my gosh! You're so right! Now I have to think if I want to reassess that too! Ugh! lol
