  • Which Bob Harper workouts do you have? I love him!! His were the kettlebell ones that I had to give up - just way too intense at this point. If you're doing your workouts and modifying them as needed, I would almost think it wasn't worth it to order the pregnancy ones unless you're looking to utilize them towards the end…
  • I had to give up some of my kettlebell workouts due to the intensity and with how tired I was it was really throwing off my form, obviously leading to more problems. I can still do my pregnancy kettlebell workout which my doctor said I may eventually want to stop - she said eventually I may start to pee a little with all…
  • I had this happen a few times so far; I'm 20 weeks now. It typically ended up being days that I didn't workout, or if I took off more than one day in a row. Now I pretty much wake up at 4am every single morning, lay around and hope to fall back to sleep. Has anything changed in your routine at all? Maybe even something…
  • Thanks guys! I'll let you know if I find any additional disappointments as well!
  • Hey there! I'm 14ish weeks and due July 7th with my first! =). Things got a lot better for me when I hit the 12 week mark. My doctor told me to try to keep my heart rate around 160ish while working out. She said if it goes above that during a more intense part, that's fine, but to target around 160. Its been hard - I've…
  • Hey Ladies, I'm also due July 2013 with my first and would love some more pregnant friends for support and exercise ideas on here. Please feel free to add me! Kim
  • Hi there! I joined MFP to lose 35-40 lbs, and was able to. I thought about trying to lose even more, but my body seemed pretty comfortable with where it was, and I was still killing my workouts. I'm hoping to keep track of my cals and continue with my workouts and actually avoid the scale. I think this is actually going to…
  • Ladies, you all just made me feel so much better! I'm 14 weeks and have gained roughly 8.5lbs - which I was a bit upset over. But I'm seeing this is somewhat normal, which makes it easier! =) This group is awesome!
  • i absolutely love kettlebells, but i doubt she got that body from them alone. as a previous reply already let you know, kettlebells definitely do have the ability to give you amazing HIT workouts and very much practical strength. you definitely need to make sure you're on point with form if you try them, because with…
  • Height 5'8 Weight 159-163 Size 12 US I've actually only lost 1 pant size since losing 35lbs!! Craziness!
  • I agree - you're not eating enough with everything else you're doing! Also, even if it seems like a plateau, your consistency is key to losing, even if it takes a few weeks to get through.
  • the difference is incredible! i too have a hard time seeing the difference for myself and i didn't even take pics when i started. keep up the amazing work! :)
  • omigosh! me too! i'm currently 160ish and would like to drop another 15-20. i've been trying to get more serious about it recently as well! i'd love to support you guys and be supported as well! =)
  • i loveeee new balance shoes. i started with the revlites which made a huge difference for my running as they were so much lighter than my previous shoes. now i have the new balance minimus 1010 - super comfortable and dry out quick if training in the rain.
  • I did WW for a bit and lost 30lbs when i was in college. although i enjoyed the points, i never learned anything from it. i've lost about 33lbs here, and have learned so much more and am aware of so much more of what i'm putting in my body. also, mfp being free is ALWAYS a plus for me!
  • Me and my hubbs work out together all the time now. But we didn't start that way. I got more into it before he did just with other things draining his time. At first he didn't really want to listen to what I had to say about form or about pace with certain things when he got more involved. We occasionally went to the gym…
  • I totally know what you mean! I eat a minimum of 1700 cals a day plus work out cals. I try to net my BMR if I've had an intense work out. Feel free to add me! :)
  • I've heard from a lot of people that 30DS is a killer on the knees. I haven't used it recently, but I'll be sure to watch out for this if I start it again!
  • It all depends on your frame. I'm 5'8. My start weight was 194 in size 14 dress pants and jeans. I've lost 31lbs and am now at 163 but I've only gone down one pant size to a 12 in both dress pants and jeans.
  • Hi there! My name is Kimberly and I'm currently residing in Ohio. I've been looking into eating more to weigh less for a while and have been reading through the different posts on here. It's kind of scary to start doing this. I actually started looking into this because I totally view it as a lifestyle change and was not…
  • ^definitely this.
  • I read up through the arthritis foundation that the addition of fish oil supplements can reduce swelling in your joints! my family has a history of arthritis in their knees and hips and I already have knee problems - so i'm definitely adding those to my daily supplements!
  • I'm in Ohio and the county I live in has lifted a breed ban on pits, but the actual town I live in hasn't lifted it yet. So it's not just a Canadian thing. I totally put it on the owners for either their training (or the lack of) and the part that they should know their dog too! The only dog I've seen bite someone has been…
  • i have the polar FT60 as well and absolutely LOVE it! they're so worth it! you'll get hooked once you get a good one! :)
  • I have a couple of her workout dvds too. right now i alternate between 6 wk 6 pack, bob harpers kettlebell sculpt, and the gym. i intend to incorporate some of jillians other dvds along the way!
  • Polar FT60 loveeee it! I use it for all my workouts!
  • I'm 5'8 too! Feel free to add me! My start was 194lbs, my ultimate goal is 145. These last 20 to lose are killing me!
  • When I started I had the mentality of just getting healthy and starting a healthy lifestyle, rather than thinking of all the weight that had to be lost. I wasn't even sure if I would lose that much, but I knew that I wanted to be healthy regardless of the number on scale. It's always harder when you think of the max you…
