  • Evelyn- So sorry to hear about the "cluster" of deaths in your family. IMO, that is the hardest part of aging; the loss of family/friends. Sometimes it seems that there are "years" that take a toll. For instance, in 1993 (the year my parents passed away) we also lost five aunts/uncles that year. Sending you peace and…
  • Hey all! Woke up to a warm rainy Spring Sunday! I slept in until 8am, which felt wonderful. I got dressed, drank a half a cup of coffee and the rain began to let up. So my shoes went on my feet, my spring jacket over my hoodie and out the door I went to see what I could see. The Mayapples are up, as are ramps, lily of the…
  • Playing catch up again, as I was "down" for part of the weekend with something similar to what Annie was dealing with. I woke up Saturday morning with a sore lower back, dizzy, (but no vomiting). I moved around carefully, kept to tea and water, and did a few "Bob and Brad" stretches for a pinched nerve. I was fine by…
  • Jumping on really quick: Michele- a couple of ideas for a preschool grad gift: I would pass on the backpack. Every kid, or their parent, knows exactly what they want in a backpack and will get it. I would maybe get a gift card to an office supply store/ or a target and let them shop for school supplies. Kids like to pick…
  • Good morning all! Happy Easter! Well, I made it through my work day, Friday, and managed to stay awake to make the hour long drive to the airport to pick up my DYS when his flight landed at 10:30pm. (Of course I did; I adore that kid!) With picking him up, waiting for baggage, and the drive home; it was 1:00am before I was…

  • Pip- Sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Sounds as if she, like your sister, was waiting for you before she passed. Relationships are complicated. Life is a winding road most times; up and down like a roller coaster. Thinking of you and sending peaceful thoughts your way. Michele- Sorry about Loki! (((Hugs))) It is Good…
  • I am on page 67 and catching up on posts, but I need to jump in and chime in on the news re: Tracy's unborn baby. Allie- Such sad news; and a child missing an arm will bring extra expenses. BUT, keep in mind, as people with two arms we view this child as "not normal" or having a "birth defect" and envision a very difficult…
  • Well, I left off on week 6, alternating 50 sumo squats three days and 25 basic squats on the days in between for a total of 200 squats a week. I didn't do squats while my grands were visiting. I was busy with them and the dog that came with them. lol SO... Week 7 March 25 - 50 sumo squats
  • Hello! Catching up on my reading, but I still have 10 more pages to go (plus whatever is posted today)! Everyone has been so busy! I think my last post was about 2-3 weeks ago, as I completely tapped out of social media for the week my grands were here. (3/8-3/16) More on that tomorrow, when I have a little more time. In…
  • Cilantro lover here! married to a cilantro hater. lol SO...it is served on the side for most dishes. As Heather stated, it doesn't belong on everything! Three days before the grands are here! Whoot!

  • I am sitting at 200 squats a week. I think I am going to sit at this number and see if I can keep the squat habit as part of my daily routine. I am kind of proud of sticking with this for 5 (coming up on 6) weeks.
  • Thanks Barbie for bringing us into March! Barbara- I wrote a message at the end of the February page to add me to your message to Katla. Thank you for doing that. She is in my thoughts often. Lisa- It is a good thing you and I don't live closer to each other. That irreverent humor would be an epidemic! My DH is a very…
  • Barbara- I have been thinking of Katla as well. So kind of you to put a message together. If it is not too late, please add my name/photo whatever. <3

  • April- So sorry to hear of your son's injuries; but glad to hear that he will be moving to a care facility closer to you! Also glad to hear of his recovery. It will be a slow journey, I am sure; but our bodies and brains are able to heal. I will keep him in my thoughts for healing and skilled physicians. Quite a few ladies…
  • Oh Kim- So sorry to read about Levi! Has your embroidery business slowed down?
  • Good morning all! I meant to really sleep in; but only made it to 7am. That is sleeping in for me; but I was hoping for another hour of luxuriating in bed, knowing that my regular Saturday morning shop and errand run was done. Oh well, I have had my coffee, made some extra to put in the fridge for the upcoming day or two…
  • Awww! Heather <3 sent you a msg on IG. Hope it cheers you! Get rest and feel better. Kids are happily snacking and coloring and waiting for parents to pick up. My son grabbed my grocery order from Aldi on his way home from work. I will hit Meijer for about half a dozen items, then be able to linger with my coffee and you…
