Views on corn?
I've heard mixed reviews about corn. I have no idea what to believe. I follow a 1200 calorie diet but I had a major craving today and ate two cans of corn (yes I was THAT hungry lol). I am still under my daily calories but should I avoid splurging on that in the future? I assumed eating corn was a healthier substitute than…

Protein powder/shakes for weight loss?
So since most people are firm believers of the high protein diets for weight loss... what are your ideas on protein power or shakes to increase protein? Within calorie limits of course. More muscle = faster weight loss? Or is this wrong? I've heard so many different opinions on that topic.

How much calories per hour for me?
I gained a lot of weight back due to depression (in the past 3 years). I bought me a fitbit charge and I've lost, since the beginning of the year, 12 pounds. However, I haven't really exercised much at all. I have been walking / jogging at night with my dog at our local track and It feels SO good to exercise again. I can't…

Squats (or alternatives) for people with bad knees
I've played sports K-12 but I chose to lose weight once graduating. It has been a battle, but I really think I have it this time. *crosses fingers* I've grown up my entire life and I would always sit in cross-leg position. Always. Chairs, floors, anywhere. I think it has hurt the development and shape of my knees lol. I…

The #1 thing to remember when you battle this obstacle of "weightloss"
You deserve that end result. Keep going. Don't look in the rearview mirror, that's why it's small and the front windshield is LARGE because you look forward at all times. The rearview mirror is there to remind you that the best is yet to come, ahead of you. When you feel like caving in, remember that you deserve that life…

Workouts without weights (just your body)
I am currently visiting my mothers house for two weeks but she lives on a road that is quite dangerous to run on (speeding cars and small roads). What are some workouts I can do with just my body and no equipment?

How often should I rest?
I've been on my diet since December 1st and I've worked out every day since I began. My body isn't showing any sign of exhaustion just yet but I am curious on how long I can work out before I should take a day or two off.

Is MFP app accurate with calories burned? Need calorie advice regarding weight.
I walked on an incline of 4-7 (going back and forth) and mph of 2 to 2.5 for 50 minutes. I logged it into MFP (the app) and the app said I burned 1200+ calories from just 50 minutes. I do weight 375 (but I think I've already lost a bit of weight, haven't weighed myself in two weeks) and i'm 6'2. 1. Is MFP accurate with how…

My personal tip for the treadmill / elliptical
I stumbled upon a few tips from a friend a long time ago and it has helped me a lot in my recent week of beginning fitness. When i'm on the treadmill, I use my phone and watch netflix. Find a show that has multiple seasons and watch netflix and the time just flies by. I apologize for those who don't have a smart phone. I…

Where can I go to find a good beginners weight-lifting guide? I figured I would alternate upper body and lower body days, but I wasn't sure what routines were best for beginning weight loss. Thanks guys!
