Looking for advice following lengthy weight maintenance.
Hi All, In a bit of a quandary. I've been in weight maintenance for around two years. weigh around 56 kilo's and have been running around 30 miles weekly on average. Of late my enjoyment has reduced and I've been tending to run to eat back calories alone. I've also been getting pretty sick of logging foods and often…

Excercise to eat more???
Hi all hoping you can maybe settle and internal debate I've been having of late. Is there anything wrong or of concern to get into the mindset that it's okay to excercise to enable you to eat more? Something does not sit well in my mind and I worry that as I continue in weight maintenance, my exercising has shifted more…

Time change issue.
Hi there, Following the hour forward clock change in the U.K. My Garmin to MFP sync is off. I can see this in the calorie adjustment section on MFP. ("Based on 660 calories burned as of 0936 AM. It was actually 0836. It looks as if it's went 2 hours ahead. Garmin is showing the correct and updated time though when syncing…

Hi guys, I have a fitbit used to log steps and upload data to mfp. I also log excercise on mfp. I have noticed however on days that I dont do excercise my calorie burn is higher for steps alone. For example today I done no excercise but covered about 7500 steps. It shows i burned 300 odd calories, where as yesterday I…

Hi there, I've just signed up for life insurance through Pru Vitality. Apparently I can get various member benefits based upon my fitness. Does anyone know if it can be linked to my fitness pal for calorie burns etc? rather than steps alone. For example I use runtastic app for core-work and this uploads to MFP with calorie…

Slendertone query.
Does anyone have any knowledge of if anything would happen if they used a slendertone with existing definition? I have an old slendertone, but have gotten some decent definition thru mfp and most days doing core work. I was wondering if I were to start using again, if it would enhance it?

Another "Excercise" cals question"
Hi again, I have been maintaining for around two months on 1800cals. Seem to be doing okay with this recently I have been eating back a small amount of ex cals (around 100cals). though for the large part with exercise included, I have remained at a deficit. My question is this, I would've expected to have lost more owing…

A question for those in the know.
Hi there, Sorry if this is a longish post. Around a year ago I gradually decided to cut down my alcohol intake and eating of large amounts of junk food; I'm not sure if it was a bit of a mid-life crisis, vanity; fear of an untimely death or a combination of all. At first I just gradually cut alcohol intake and junk foods.…

Fearful to eat excercise calories.
Hi there, MFP gives me 1800cals to maintain my weight. I've been eating between 1700-1800 cals daily. However I'd like a bit of flexability in this and will eventually try and eat back some (around 50%) of my excercise cals. the main worry is that I feel as if I have just been maintaing on this for aorund a month or two…

Calorie burn estimates in runtastic apps. (Six pack and Butts)
Hi There, Anyone know how accurate the estimates for calorie burns in the six pack and butt apps are for runtatsic. I've been doing the six pack one for months and always wondered if the calorie burn was maybe too high, as often I get around 200 cals for around 25 minutes of work with some rest in between (which is set by…

Muscle gains???
Hello, First time poster with a likely noob question. If I were to exercise the exact same way as I done previously whilst maintaining weight, would I necessarily gain muscle? To put some context into it, I'm aware of the various arguments around gaining muscle during weight maintenance or a calorie deficit. For around 8…

Scottish guy.
Hello people. I cannot believe I haven't done this before, It's a great resource. I'm 35 and since getting older (and losing hair) I thought it was time to regain some control and begin to look after myself more. I have been logging for around 50 odd days though had gradually made changes prior to logging calories. If…
