New Diagnosis - Transverse Myelitis... no more weight loss?
Been a while since my last visit to the forum, but since late last fall, I've been dealing with a new medical issue. In the interim, I also had my gallbladder removed and thumb surgery to boot. Was at -70 lbs when this all started in October, and since gallbladder surgery at the end of Jan, I gained 15 that I cannot seem…

Ketonix... anyone bought the new version yet? Feedback?
Ketostix are no longer working, which means I've finally hit that beloved state of full nutritional ketosis. It only took five months.... LOL The website now has two colors, blue and red, both with their own reporting and customization to your favorite method, so I'm wondering how the new computer sync works. Anyone buy…

LC Facebook site pushing carbs...
Just had to leave a FB group because the members keep telling newbies that carbs are necessary for daily energy, and you should never go too low. They never say what too low is, but try to convince people that you should eat 75-100 carbs daily. They obviously have never spoken with our zero carb or ketogenic members. I…

Lost 58, but have 50+ to go... how to keep motivated????
For those of you that are on the road to a 100+ loss, or have hit goal, how the heck do you stay motivated? I haven't been this size in so long, I can't remember feeling this comfortable in my skin. I'm having a hard time justifying being so strict with my keto plan for losses. Part of me just wants to 'hang' at this…

Halfway to goal
Just some encouragement for those PCOS insulin resistant sisters. I just broke my halfway to goal mark at 55 pounds lost. It took a year and a half, and many changes to the low carb diet along the way, but I made it. I'm now following ketogenic at less than 20 carbs, and my macros are 5% carb/25% protein/ 70%fat. My blood…

Fat Bombs for Keto & Calorie Restriction - Cross Posted
I've seen the lists y'all have been compiling for fat bombs, and most of those I've read contained ingredients I don't use on my plan, including nuts because I'm currently wearing braces. Because of my PCOS and insulin resistance, I am aiming for 1500 calories a day, and I try to make sure those are all whole foods, except…

PCOS / Diabetic - Results of trip to Endocrinologist
I know several people are looking at low carb/ketogenic as a way to 'fix' metabolic issues, and I wanted to share my results of the endocrinologist appointment from yesterday afternoon. Hopefully it gives someone hope they are on the right track. So... a little background. I have PCOS, am insulin resistant and a T2…

Fasting during the flu? The real flu....
Daughter was sick this week, and gifted mom with it. Woke last night with whole body aches and sinus pressure. Already downing beef broth, because we ran out of chicken, and was thinking that I might just broth/water fast today. Feed a cold, starve a fever, right? Any advice would be appreciated. I want this gone!

Feast Days or Carb Splurges?
New to keto in Feb, but with the upcoming Easter holiday and a personal celebration on the horizon for my daughter, I am considering just enjoying the afternoon and allowing myself to partake of my favorite foods. Haven't cheated in months, and now that I'm finally making headway since switching to keto, I'm afraid to get…
