Supporting a Teen Looking to Become Healthier
Hello, I'm looking to hear people's positive and negative experiences with their parents and health/weight. It's a challenging subject to navigate with a teenager so I'd love to hear from people who struggled as teens themselves:* What did your family do/say that was helpful for you? * What did they do that was not helpful…

Losing with your SO
Is there anyone here is trying to lose weight with their husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend/whoever?? My husband's gotten unhappy with his weight and would like to trim up but our approaches are pretty different. He's always been super supportive of me using MFP and weighing food and things, but he's certain that he…

Favourite Easy Food Prep Meals
Hi ladies! I was wondering if you had any favourite meals that you make in big batches for the week ahead. I try to make 2 batches of something on the weekend so I have easy lunches and dinners when I'm working. I usually look for ones that have lots of veggies and if they have grains, I make sure they're not the main…

Do I have to wait for DOMS to go away before training again?
I just started working out again after a long time away. I did lower body on Friday, Upper body on Sunday, and want to do full body on Tuesday, but I'm still sore from the previous workouts. Do you have to wait until you're fully recovered from DOMS, or can you workout again even if you're a little bit sore. I did take a…

Monthly Grocery Budget
Hey, I was wondering how much people generally spend on groceries. I manage the money in our house and I feel like my husband and I spend a huge amount on food. We've kind of attempted to reduce it in the past, but we never tried too hard and have never been successful. I read the average in Alberta (the province I live…

MFP Only Recognizing IOS Calorie Adjustment, not Fitbit
Hello, I recently got a Charge HR and synced it with MFP. All the MFP food stuff syncs to the Fitbit app great, but on MFP, the only calorie adjustment I see is for my IOS step count, not my Fitbit step count/calorie burn. Before the Fitbit I used MapMyRun and my iPhone step counter for calorie amounts usually, but now…

Disappointing Meals
How frustrating is it when you're going to have a big meal that you've planned for and made room in your calorie count for and then when you get it, it's not delicious or satisfying?!? Now I'm at my total for the day and I feel totally lacking. Maybe I'll go for a run and get some ice cream...

Look at weights/calorie amounts without changing stats.
I'm interested in seeing what my maintenance calories would be at different weights as I want to see what a reasonable long-term goal weight would be for me. But as far as I know, I would have to change my weight to the different numbers to see. Wouldn't MFP then count that as a weight log? I want a way to play around with…

Get this group and SC up and running!
Hi ladies, I see there's a few of you who have been posting and would like a more active group for SC so let's make it happen! I've been putting off fully committing to the program but I think it's time to change that. Leave a comment with which SC program you're doing and what week you're on and we can help motivate each…

Calories while weight training
Hi there, I'm a 5' 9" female, cw is ~175. I guess my goal weight is around 165-160 but I'm more about my size than my weight. I was between 160 and 165 before and was quite happy. In the past I went to a bootcamp regularly that I loved but it closed last year and since then I've gained all the weight back that I'd lost.…
