I'm trying to lose weight but I love eating at night. As long as I count cals, can I eat at night?
I love late-night snacks. I've had people tell me I shouldn't eat at night, yet I've heard others say it doesn't matter.

Should I weigh myself or measure myself?
What do you do?

I hardly ever exercise, so when I tell MFP that I'm Sedentary, does it create a calorie deficit?
Does it create a deficit automatically, or should I still do things like count steps and manually create a deficit by counting how many calories I've burned?

Is it true I can eat anything and lose weight, as long as I count the calories?
And a little exercise, of course.

Should I not weigh myself if I'm trying to lose weight and gain muscle?
I've always heard that muscle weighs more than fat. I've just joined MFP with the intention of losing weight. I've never worked out before, but if I do, should I no longer weigh myself if I gain muscle? I don't want the scale to say I'm weighing more than I am.

If I'm not sure exactly how much of something I ate, is it better to overestimate or underestimate?
I would think it'd be better to overestimate.

I've been given 2,710 net calories a day. Does this seem high to you?
I'm 6'1", 270lbs, nineteen, and male. I read that males and teens get more calories, but this still seems a bit much to me.

I'm new to MFP. Should I focus on just calories or also focus on my sodium, fat grams, etc.?
Because I'm under on my calorie intake but I'm over on my sodium intake for the day.
-
Am I supposed to eat all my calories, including the ones I get from exercise?
Because I'm allowed 2k+ calories and I can get to 3k by exercising. But isn't that a lot to eat for one day? I'm new to MFP so I don't know! Thank you :)

I'm new here. I'm hoping to lose seventy pounds.
Hello. I'm nineteen, 6'1", and 270lbs. I want to reach 200lbs. I've been overweight my entire life and I've tried numerous diets. This is my next one.
