What is your 'I'm not measuring that'/'free food'?
So by this I mean what food item (not drinks) that you do not either weigh or count towards your calorie total? I tend to count everything but I over time have stopped counting/weighing things like spinach, tomatoes etc.

Heart of Palm
Where the hell has it been all my life?! See it constantly in the supermarkets in a tin near the corn but never tried it, but earlier this week I thought why not and am I glad I did. Other than saying how wonderful it is, those who have had it and use it often, what do YOU do with it? Is it part of your salad or just…

Exercise just after midnight before bed
So, I'm wide awake post midnight and normally exercise in the mornings. I know for a fact when I wake up I won't be bothered/actually want a lie in for once. If I do some/most of my exercise routine now (jump rope for about 45 mins - 60 mins) and then go to bed, will it 'cancel' out meaning I can't say 'I've done my…

Flavor God
Anyone get things from these guys? Expensive definitely, especially if getting shipped but I bloody love some of them. Supposedly all 0 calories and a lot of them do have a lot of punch. My fav's: Chocolate Doughnut (I pray they are 0 calories as I genuinely finish of tubs in a day) Cheese Pizza Everything Everything

The closest alternative to product you wish you could buy thread
Don't know about some of you (particularly for those who do not live in the US), but the excitement and frustration at seeing products we can't get is getting quite annoying..... Halo Top, I am looking at you! But there are of course many, or if they are available in your country they cost a fortune. So the purpose of this…

Your favourite food swap
Pretty self explanitory, what has been your favourite food swap? Is it 'just' because of a lower calorie content? Do you genuinely love the taste/combo? If at weight loss, do you plan on doing it when you hit your goal still? If on maintenance, do you still have some food swaps that gave stuck? Hell, it may not even be…

No more exercise...
So I've been told by my psychiatrist no more exercise for a week as I developed a unhealthy relationship with it and lord (Anorexia/Depression etc.). Now this has sent me into a bit of a panic because I obviously feel I have to exercise to eat, and when I ate because I don't feel I can control my food, I eat everything at…

What do you do on your rest days?
So I do a lot of cardio but want/need a rest day (not had for a long long time as I eat and then feel guilty) but am forcing myself to today. Question is, as I don't have one and its a weekend so I'm not even 'walking around doing normal stuff' not sure what I should do. Can I sit all day in front of a TV? What do you all…

Peanuts
Hi all, Quick question. So I just found out (yes I'm slow) that if you boil peanuts (which I love) they have less calories than when eating them raw. Now for the even stupider part: Does it matter what kind of peanut/but I do this with? For example peanuts from a shell vs redskin peanuts or even almonds etc. Any help…

Need to gain weight
Hi all, I need to gain some weight. I've fallen off the deep end with my weight loss and losing more and more and can't seem to stop. NAturally my BMR is dropping. So first basic question, if I increase my weight (not just talking about lifting or anything, just adding a couple kg) will my BMR increase or have I screwed…

What the hell is going on to my face?! Please help
So my family has always had round faces primarily. When I lost my initial weight, my face cut in half and had some definition/could see cheek bones etc. But for the last few weeks, my face has become round again. I haven't added any weight according to the scale, I still weigh my food etc. The only changes I'd say in the…

Raw or cooked weight of food? (particularly potatoes)
So I am trying to calculate the calories of the potato's I am about to use for cooking. I know potatoes and a lot of other foods 'lose weight' due to the water going whilst cooking so wondering should I weigh them before and use those calories or use the cooked weight?

In need of rest or becoming lazy?
Hi, I've posted before talking about resting/listening to your body and took a relative rest day. But recently I have been feeling sluggish for several days, I've dropped some exercises and feel my walk and jog times are just getting worse. I wake up with no energy and my legs feel like tree trunks. My diet has not…

Maintenance calories and techniques
Hi all, So I am quite intregued by people's maintannce calories and techniques (how do you split the day, how often do you exercise, what exercise etc.) And think we can all learn off each other and positively help one another (I really need the help to get off my exercise then binge cycle, its taken the joy out of losing…

Rest days/Listening to your body
Hi all, So this morning I got up at 3 as usual to do my exercise routine (an hour of exercise bike complimented with some kettlebell stuff), then I normally run to the station the long way (about 3km) and then get off a few stops earlier than I need to for another jog to the office (just under 5k). Then I walk a ton more…

Fitbit Negative Adjustment
So I have this set but am trying to tone done my exercise (I'm developing/have developed exercise bulimia and it's taken over my life essentially). I wake up, try and plan my day but I see a negative figure because I no longer want to wake up at 3am each day exercising. But when I see that negative number it discourages me…

Christmas Day - rest day or not?
So those who exercise daily/often, will you be resting on Christmas Day or will you be working out in the mornings? I've not had a rest day in months and am considering actually sleeping past 5 for once and not moving at all but as I've not done it for months, I am also dreading it!

Fitbit estimate too high?
For background, I am male, 26 and weigh 125 lbs. I use Fitbit Blaze too So I tend to exercise and walk A LOT, I'm talking hours in the day, been recently hitting 30k, 40k and even 50k steps on the regular (not that my legs are thanking me). But when I go for a dedicated walk I set it to exercise mode for walk and off I go…

Walking as exercise
I jog, poorly, daily and my legs can be in pain. I also go an exercise bike for 30 mins for a medium intensity spin but split that up into 3 chunks of 10 mins with pushups, sit ups, kettlebell swings and some weights thrown in between the 10 min sessions. Again, daily. Now, I know walking takes a lot longer but on 'rest'…

Subway sandwiches
OK so as a veggie I used to eat the veggie patty footlongs with the lot but noticed that would all equal 850-900 calories + cookie. Now I can fit it in to my budget but that feels like a hell of a lot for a sandwich, is Subway actually a good option or do people prefer making their own sandwich/have alternatives I haven't…

How many calories do you gain per day through exercise?
For maintainers/former crazy exercisers, how many calories do you 'gain' from your daily exercise and/or just walking about? For those who exercised liked crazy during weight loss but calmed it back when they hit maintenance, how did you do it? (I'm struggling with this currently)

Help please!
I'm a male in his mid twenties around 5'6/5'7 tall. So I reached my goal weight/range but having trouble finding my calories. In 7 months I dropped quite a considerable amount of weight (currently around 60kg) through aggressive calorie counting (1200 most days) and a hell of a lot of exercise. Since reaching my goal (a…

Early morning exercise
So in the past month or so I have taken up something I never thought I would - running. I technically completed the C25K (did it every day, no breaks) but don't fully enjoy running, I like the feeling after of having completed one. The reason I say technically is because if you runners saw me do a run I think you'd be in…

Exercise in the morning
So I get up early and do a jog (I feel that's insulting to actual runners based on what I do/speed) and walk. I supposedly according to my FitBit burn about 700 calories by the time I get to work. I personally feel that's a bit too high so say its around half just in case. My question is, is it OK to basically go beserk at…

Body changes
Potentially daft question. I am at maintenance (but still have high anxiety about increasing calories) and am pretty sure I am gaining back some weight despite technically eating at a similar level to what I was doing when I was losing weight and daily exercise. My face (particularly when I wake up) feels/looks puffy and…

Exercise
Hi all, So I've hit my goal weight (perhaps gone a bit lower just in case) but now want to maintain. I exercised like an animal, to me at least, as well as calorie counting. I was cycling for hours and even started doing the odd but of running every day without fail -pain or no pain. I am a male, mid to late twenties,…
