Bike
What are your recommendations for a bike that would carry a large person. I'm currently 330, and so there may not be a bike that would be sufficient until I lose some more weight, but I'd love to think there is. Ultimate goal would be to one day ride long distances. I don't know for sure, but I think I would prefer road…

Down 13!
Obviously I have a long way to go, but started at 335 and now 322, so 13 down and still pressing on! I've cut out sugary carbs, sugary drinks, etc. and am eating mostly lean meats and vegetables, watching carbs pretty closely. Also alternating work out days one day 2.5 miles on treadmill the next working with weights.…

resistance band question.
I've asked MANY people this, some who are exercise instructors, and no one has ever given me a straight answer. So here goes..... Let's say you have a 15 pound resistance band (just picked a random number). Obviously, you know that if you step in the middle of the band on the ground and pull the bands toward the sky you…

weight lifting question
So I know that we all hear "low weight, many reps" to get toned and not bulky. Well toned is what I want, so here's the issue..... I start out with low weight, let's say bench pressing 60 pounds. The first day ever it's hard to get 3X12. The second time I lift it then it's easier. By the third and fourth trips, it feels…

Water Weight.
I know that water can be lost in the beginning of my exercise/diet plan, and also can fluctuate when first lifting weights. How long do you think the time is when you can guess that you are not losing water weight anymore but actually losing fat. I have been on my diet now for about 2 and a half weeks.

After two weeks.....
So I've been doing low carb diet for two weeks now. Basically I eat some meat and cheese at breakfast, maybe some protein with almond milk, and then follow the same thing throughout the day, carbs are probably 15-20 and these are only because even if you eat asparagus, avocado, etc. there are some baseline carbs. In other…

Atkins/keto calorie question
So i've always thought of eating and weight loss like a math game. If you eat more calories than you take in, you gain, if you run a deficit, you lose. Here's what I wonder. Everyone I know who did atkins or keto keeps telling me they offset the inability to eat carbs by eating a LOT of meat, like tons of bacon, cheese…

Two Questions from A New Dieter
I'm doing the low carb, high protein diet. So this is only day #2.....here are my questions: 1. I have horrible headaches last night and today, I'm sure this is sugar withdrawals or something. Any advice on getting through the first few days as far as fatigue and especially headaches go? 2. What is your stance on cheat…
