Stopped logging for 2 months and gained 10 pounds
Well, looks like I am back. Left MFP for two months and gained 10 pounds steadily. Thought I could stop logging like some that have reached goal weight but I just can’t do it so back to logging. I found that whenever I stop logging food I stop restricting myself and begin eating to my heart’s content.

Silly question
This is a silly question so please bare with me. Can I tone up while eating 260 calories of ice cream daily if the rest of my diet is clean, I eat 1g protein/pound and weightlift 4 times a week while eating at maintenance? I love ice cream and fit it into my CICO as I walk a long distance to work which buys me the…

Report on accuracy of fitbit
Hi, I have been using Fitbit to track excercise and MFP to track calories since January and now have 2.5 months of data. I know that people have said to cut the Fitbit excercise adjustment by 50%, but I have found the opposite. I have analyzed the data and with the Fitbit adjustment i should have lost 9 pounds based on a…

2018 Newcomers - What have you learned?
For those of you like me who have joined in 2018, what are the top 3 things that you have learned that surprised you? My top 3: 1. I have always believed that I was eating very few calories and blamed my "genetics" for the weight gain. To this day, a part of me still doesn't believe that I really eat that much less now…

Is logging sustainable long term?
Hey, Like many of you, I joined this site because I wanted to make a lasting change in my diet and to hopefully lose a couple of pounds in the process. I have been logging religiously over the past 20 days and it has gone well. The main issue for me is that I don't see this process as sustainable long term. (1) I feel like…

How to count calories for sauce?
I like to add a lot of sauce when slow cooking chicken breast (butter chicken sauce) but when it is cooked I make sure to wipe the sauce off of each chicken breast before eating. Do I count 100% of the sauce, 50%, none? Worried if I count none that some of the calories in the suave are absorbed into the chicken breast.

Portable scale
Anyone else have a portable pocket scale? I have a kitchen scale but just purchased a portable pocket scale so I can weigh stuff when I dip and snack. And yes, I tend to go way overboard when I set my mind on something lol

Has logging affected your social life?
I have been logging for a week now and have turned down two social eating events this week because the prospect of not knowing what is being put in the food bothers me. Am I the only one to turn down social eating events to avoid the hassle of not being able to log accurately?

How do you avoid going on binges?
Does anyone else on here struggle with avoiding binges? Starting with a half cup of ice cream and looking at the clock 2 hours later and realizing that you actually lost control and went through 3-5 cups of ice cream? How do you avoid going on these binges? Do you keep your most tempting foods out of your home?

Male, 5'8, 162 pounds, 33% body fat
Hey, I reduced my weight from about 170 down to 162. However, I am confused as to how to achieve my goals. I like looking "bigger" at 162 and having been 154 before I just look fuller and more manly. However, I also am very small boned and I am probably at around 33% body fat right now which is considered obese. Should I…

New and looking to tone
Hey all! I have been using this app for two days now and LOVE IT! I have been going to the gym for a while now but have never in my life paid much attention to what I was eating. I have decided to tackle the second half of the health equation and am looking to trade fat for muscle (tone up). Will likely be active in these…
