Do any of you implement your activity/fitness tracker in this way?
I posted this on the Fitbit forum. Thought posting it here might be helpful as well. I've been reading quite a few negative comments/frustrations on some activity trackers (mainly Fitbit in my case) and MFP not syncing, not linking and such. I relate to that as well. Is there an advantage of having the tracker linked to…

Do any of you implement MFP & Fitbit in this way?
I've been reading quite a few negative comments/frustrations on Fitbit and MFP not syncing, not linking and such. I relate to that as well. Is there an advantage of having Fitbit linked to MFP besides seeing the adjustments? I can just as easily see my TDEE on Fitbit app and adjust my eating accordingly on MFP without…

Apple watch calories burned by standing
A friend of mine owns an Apple Watch. She says that the watch know how much she sits and stands. A question for those who own one. Does Apple watch take into account calories burned by standing when estimating TDEE?

How do I get my Fitbit synched with MFP @ 11:59 p.m.
I posted this in the Fitbit group but it's not as active as this forum. So, I go to bed around 10 p.m. It's usually the time when I sync my Fitbit. MFP picks up that sync. My adjustments for the day always stop at the time when I sync it last. Is there a "trick" to get it synced @11:59 p.m. so my food journal is updated…

Maintaining lower weight
There are a few threads on maintaining at higher weight being easier. Are there any of you that find that maintaining on the lower end of your goal similar to maintaining at 5 to 10 lbs higher weight? Are your hunger levels higher at the lower end or about the same? Maintenance takes vigilance but when I look purely at…

Walking briskly in place.
I posted this in the Fitbit forum but decided to post it here as well. I need feedback from those who own any type of activity tracker. When the weather changes I like to walk "briskly" in place for cardio. My Fitbit Zip counts steps when I do that but I know that the distance is mostly likely significantly off. Is there a…

Weighing food accurately
When I weigh out calorie rich foods I log the number the food scale shows me. My scale measures to the nearest gram, ml, etc. My question is, do any of you add decimal points to avoid underestimating calories? For example calorie count of 15.1 and 15.9 grams of almonds, chocolate, butter, oil (I measure liquids in mls.) is…

Set as sedentary but do a lot of cooking
I synched my Charge 3 with MFP and chose sedentary setting because my activity is inconsistent and I like to see smaller adjustments at the end of the day. I do a fair number of on my feet activities that are non-step based, cooking, cleaning, laundry and such. Is there a way for me to log those? If so, where do I log? I…

NIH's Body Weight Planner
When I plug my numbers into NIH's planner the difference in calorie # is significantly different from MFP's. For example, to maintain my current weight at sedentary setting MFP gives me 1530 but NIH gives me 1719.

Carrying calories over from prior week
I recently started maintenance. I linked my Charge 3 to MFP with "Negative Calorie Adjustments" enabled. In the last couple of weeks, at the end of the week I've had a few hundred calories leftover. It doesn't happen all the time. Do any of you carry over "below weekly goal calories" to next week? I was thinking maybe to…

Fitbit and MFP ~50ish calorie difference
I synced my Charge 3 with MFP. My activity level is lightly active. At the end of the day my calorie adjustment from MFP is regularly higher by about 50-60 calories than Fitbit. What calorie goal should I go by?
