Newbies vs. Veterans
Holy cow, is this becoming and episode of MTV's "The Gauntlet"? I copy and pasted my own comment so it could reach a few more people... I know some of the "veterans" on this site get a bit wound up seeing the same questions over and over, but please keep one thing in mind... They may be repetitive questions to you but it's…

The Magic Bullet!
For all you fruit smoothie lovers this thing will work so well. I bought it at Costco - the whole kit & caboodle for $50. It's basically a mini blender - it allows you to quickly make just a single serving (or 2) fruit smoothie. Great any time of day! I use frozen fruit (strawberries, melon, blueberries, peaches) regular…

Answer this one for me...
I know you can... Here it is, I've been away for a few months and put on some weight again. Now that I've logged on once again I went in to change my "stats". The BMR calculation says I need 1,555 calories just to function, but the MFP Food page is setting me at 1,200 calories a day. Please explain. Thanks! P.S. Friends...…

And... I'm back. Thanks Joanna.
Not sure why I left in the first place but until today it had been quite a while since I'd even logged on to enter my food.:blushing: When did we get these cutie little faces to add to our messages?! So, I'm back thanks to Joanna who sent me a sweet little myspace message... "Haven't seen you in a while Adrianne" Well, you…

1 glass vs. 8 ounces
So... I'm pretty bad about getting my water intake up to 8 glasses in a day but I'm getting better! My questions is, is 8 ounces of water considered to be 1 "glass"?

Funny conversation with my Mom... she informed me that I shouldn't be on a diet I should be on a LIVIT. ie: die vs. live ;) I thought it was pretty clever so I'm taking on that motto... here's to LIVING WELL!

Juggling Act
These last few months have been a whirl wind for me. End of August - joined the gym September 25th - Quit smoking October 1st - joined this website! October 2nd - found out I am cancer free! Woo hoo! So, needless to say there has been a lot going on. I am hoping I haven't doomed myself by diving in head first with all of…

At work right now & having a serious craving for something sweet! There is a vending machine down the hall that is calling my name... please give me some other suggestions! I'm drinking a cup of Chai Spice Tea right now - trying to stall while I think of something better than the chocolate & cookies from the vending…

Is there a good sweetener?
Now that the Fall weather is rolling in I am going to make every effort to fight off winter illness. Thus, I have started eating a Grapefruit every day. A co-worker suggested I put sugar on top but I'm not so sure. What about honey? Is it easier for our bodies to process honey or is it all the same? Thanks!

Just 3 questions!
I think these days "they" are brainwashing us to think that all carbs are bad. AND now that I've started keeping track of what I eat on MFP I am realizing that almost everything has carbs - even the broccoli I had with lunch! Can anyone give me examples of good carbs so I can work them into my diet? Also, I am really bad…

Not a very good day
Walked out to the car to go to the gym for yoga class... flat tire. So no workout and I ate TERRIBLY, about 400 calories over my suggested amount. Ugh. Does anyone know if this will make a difference? Since I started on this web site a week ago I've been excited to weigh myself every morning. Not so excited for tomorrow…

Hmmm... help!
I'm going to toss this one out there - any & all feedback will be appreciated! This is my 4th day on MFP and I'm loving it! What an amazing tool! My questions is, I seem to be having a problem keeping my protein intake below my daily recommended amount on non work out days. Has anyone else run into this problem? Is it…
