Fat loss without loss of muscle!
I would like to lower my body fat percentage to show off some well earned muscles. My Fitness Pal has me on a 1200 calorie plan but I'm afraid that's going to get me in a catabolic state. Thoughts? LIfting enough?
A bit about myself - I'm 5'4 and 118lbs. I've been exercising regularly (6 to 7 days a week) since January. I do a minimum of three days of weights with HIIT on the days that I don't lift. Caloric intake increases with exercise?
This is my first day using MFP and was happy with the number of calories that was suggested. I only have about 10 lbs to lose and would like to aim for 2lbs a week of weight loss. What I don't understand is why I was given extra calories because I exercised. That will only take me that much longer to lose the last of this…

Goal is to lose the last of the baby weight
My son is now 8 months old and I'm ready to lose the last 10 lbs or so of the baby weight. I'm hoping that tracking what I eat and getting in to daily exercising will get me back into my pre-pregnancy shape in no time :)
