lipoedema
Are there any other lipoedema sufferers out there? I have inherited lipoedema and am desperate to halt its progress. Have you received any specific dietary advice that has worked for you? (Please note that I am vegetarian and am also on thyroxine for an underactive thyroid). Many thanks x

The China Study
Being vegetarian and with a few unresolved health issues that are being investigated (possible auto-immune illness, chronic fatigue) plus I have lipoedema and am on 75mg thyroxine a day due to a low thyroid function, the China Study has been recommended to me. Before I invest in yet another book, does anyone have this…

tracking sodium
Lots of people talk about lowering sodium levels on here, I thought that sodium encouraged water retention but it didn't seem that important to log. Today, however, I have decided to track this too and was really shocked to discover how high skimmed milk is in sodium. Despite this discovery my sodium levels today are…

Protein rich eating
I have done very badly this year weight-wise and have been advised by friends that my protein levels are way too low (I'm lucky to eat one-third of my daily limits). I really want to do better with this as hopefully upping my protein to reasonable levels will help to drop my carb intake. I am vegetarian but would…

Leslie Sansone's DVDs
I have just completed Jillian Michael's 30 day shred, which was recommended on here and which I loved, and have noticed that a few people use Leslie Sansone's DVDs. I don't quite 'get' walking dvds, are you just walking in your lounge?! Sansone's DVDs are considerably more costly than JM's so I wondered if people have any…

Jillian Michael 30 day shred entry on mfp
Whilst I appreciate that calorie burn depends on an individual's weight etc, could anyone please tell me how they log this under their exercise on here as I can't seem to find it. Many thanks

Exercise/rest days
I have just started the C25k programme and have done the first 2 sessions with a day inbetween. I am due to do my third one tomorrow. On the alternate days when I am not doing the walk/jog, am I supposed to rest from all exercise? I have been still doing some exercise eg my exercise bike; today I went for a very hilly walk…

bump...

does sugar trigger binges?
If I weaken and eat cake or rubbish at work at my morning break I find that I am much more likely to then go in a downward spiral for the rest of the day. It is possible that it is just pyschological and me thinking that I've blown it and sub-consciously writing off the day. However, I do wonder if maybe it is actually the…

self-sabotage
Someone on here recently mentioned a book about self-sabotage but I can no longer find the thread. Could anyone please confirm the name of the book if they remember the thread? I think that the time has come to order it..... Many thanks.

Eating back exercise calories
When you enter your details on this site, it asks how many sessions of exercise and how many minutes of exercise you will do each week. Surely then it uses this information when calculating your daily calorie intake? So, when it sets my calorie intake at 1200 calories, this is assuming that I will do the 5 x 30 minute…

Point of exercise?
Whilst I obviously know all the benefits of exercise, I am not sure of the point of it if you are then going to eat back the calories! Surely one may as well not bother doing any (other than for the fitness benefits such as toning, general health etc)?

undereating
I am consistently under eating and not having my calorie allowance. However, this is because I can see that I have nearly had my carbs allowance for the day. Eating anything else (apart from salad/vegetables/fruit) would then push me over my carb allowance. What do others do?
