undereating

I am consistently under eating and not having my calorie allowance. However, this is because I can see that I have nearly had my carbs allowance for the day. Eating anything else (apart from salad/vegetables/fruit) would then push me over my carb allowance. What do others do?

    Have you set your carbs goal lower than what the MFP default is (it's quite high, I think)

    It would help if you could make your diary public so we can see exactly what you're eating (under settings....)

    I don't pay much attention to anything but my daily calories. You see, I have learned that I am not overly sensitive to carbs nor to sodium or even sugar. Since my body doesn't respond negatively to any of these (and some people DO) -- I focus solely on calories for the day.

    You have to eat. Plain and simple. If you are making healthy choices, I would focus on meeting your daily calories for a little while and focus less on the macros. Not eating will lead you right down the yo-yo dieting path.

    Try adding olive oil, avocados, nuts...

    I would say to reevaluate what you're eating. I went back a few days in my diary and I've not gone over on Carbs - but constantly sugar! I have a smoothie daily.
  • Bump.....I too under-eat, but I do mine on purpose!!

    In fact tonight I am toying with whether to have dinner because if I eat any more than 1000 calories I feel seriousy guilty! If I have dinner I will be still be under my daily allowance as I burned 450 calories off, but the guilt is already getting me!!!

    That and if you have not reset your carb level you have to start choosing things with lower levels so you can hit your cal. level. Going under can reek havoc with your body and diet. If you need a friend send request!
