Protein rich eating

I have done very badly this year weight-wise and have been advised by friends that my protein levels are way too low (I'm lucky to eat one-third of my daily limits). I really want to do better with this as hopefully upping my protein to reasonable levels will help to drop my carb intake. I am vegetarian but would reluctantly eat fish once a week at the most. Does anyone have some nice meal ideas for me as I really am determined to lose two stone this year. Many thanks.

Would you consider a healthy protein shake or Quest Bar? They have tons of protein in them. Check the ingredients to see if you're comfortable with them.0

I recently followed a high protein low carb diet for about 10 weeks. stay away from potatoes, bread, carrots, rice, etc. just check the nutrition info on all foods and make a meal plan. I ate a lot of chicken, tuna, lean meats, eggs, broccoli, cucumbers, tomatoes, and lettuce, spinach, etc.
and get your exercise in!! you can do it!

I believe there are plant based protein powders out there. Edamame is pretty high in protein, I know a lot of vegetarians that seem to like tofu for the protein. Good luck.
I don't think I could ever be a vegetarian. I like meat, too much, and usually have to force myself to eat vegetables.
Edited to add, nuts are also a good source of protein for vegetarians, but I wouldn't recommend trying to get all your protein from nuts.0 -
Thank you ! x0
