Keeping your core tight during workouts
No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to keep my core tight when I workout. I really have to concentrate which I feel is taking away from my workout. Any suggestions on how I can do this? I know I can have a nice, flat stomach soon if I could just get the hang of this.

Finally
I finally ran a 10 minute mile! And it came on the 1 year anniversary that I started my weight loss journey. All I could think was that when I started, I couldn't do 1/4 at a speen of 3.7 mph without feeling like I was going to die. I am so proud of how far I have come!

I'm such a dork......
but I find this to be motivating. I noticed this morning that the foot of the runner on my ticker is just about touching my goal weight! That makes me happy. I am so close to closing the weight loss chapter of my journey and opening the maintain chapter.

Low impact upper body exercise
Does anyone have any reccommendations for some upper body, low impact exercises? I just had surgery on my leg and am very limited to what I can do. My doctor said I could do upper body exercises, but I am trying to figure out what I can do. I hate being immobile.
