Is my Kale bad?
Bought some Organic kale at trader joes a week or so ago, and decided to use it today without realizing the "Best by date" was August 2nd. It's not moldy, it was however a little on the "wet" side. I decided to bake it and make spicy kale chips, and I'm just wondering if wet (perhaps slightly slimy?) kale that has been…

I wish
I wish this group wasn't specifically aimed at those with PKU...there are other metabolic disorders such as MSUD which should not be excluded. PKU and MSUD are supposedly "allied" disorders, but MSUD is always overlooked.

Pistachios
Perhaps this is a weird question, but I've never been much of a nut person until the last year or so. When weighing pistachios..do you weigh them in the shell, or after they are shelled?

Jiggly Arms
I didn't know what else to title this. I have been working on strengthening my arms for 4 months or so. I am considerably stronger than I was 4 months ago. Back then 8-10 lbs was "omg so heavy kill me now" and now I can lift 45lbs on the overhead press and 55lbs on the rower/rear delt. Perhaps I could do more but I ease my…

Post-menstrual Syndrome
This isn't fun and there surely are no games involved, but I didn't know where else to ask this. Do any women here experience Post-menstrual syndrome? My "tom" ended about 7 days ago, and I've been a wreck since then (including experiencing non-stop anxiety, aggression, anger, extreme sadness, etc.) This has never happened…

Cursive writing or Print?
Think back to a time when you last wrote something, whether it was yesterday, last year, or before the dawn of text messaging an email - how did you write that epic poem, journal entry, essay, shopping list, etc. Did you write in cursive or print? Which method do you use most often? My husband and I were talking about how…

Fit Bit Owners...
It's 6am and my fitbit says i've only walked 165 steps today. so why does MFP say that those 165 steps have given me 254 exercise calories? 165 steps is is a very, very, very small amount. This is only my 3rd day using the fitbit, so all this is very new to me.

So...here's mine :o 90210 (I was almost 6 when it debuted & the first 4 seasons are my favorite. is it sad that I still want the Brenda doll?) Friends Roseanne…

First NSV worthy of posting
SW: 262 CW: 235 NSV: Last night I carried a 24 pack of water a far distance without struggling. And today when i was doing the arm weight thingies...I thought i had it set to 35lbs, but after doing 10 of them, I checked and saw it was 45lbs. That's the most I've been able to lift so far. When I first started all this I had…

Ab Exercise Difficulty
Here's an odd question i guess....do you HAVE to suck in your stomach when you are exercising (ab exercises or even regular cardio) I can suck it in like they the dvd exercise programs say to, but when it comes to actually performing an exercise while sucking/tucking it in, I just can't seem to do both at the same time. it…

Yay, Another BMR Question
So i feel like my weightloss is slowing down, and i decided to check into my current bmr. According to fat2fitradio, it's 1,873. MFP has me eating 1,500 calories, which is obviously below my BMR. I was thinking of upping my calories to at least my bmr or even the fat2fit sedentary level (1900 something) but I don't know if…

Strength Training without LEUCINE
I am quite sure I am the only person of MFP with an intollerance to Leucine, iso-leucine and valine...excessive consumption of these amino acids can well... kill me. After doing a little research, I now realize that without lots of leucine in my life, I might never be able to develop muscular strength and tone my body,…

Exercise Equipment Recommendations?
My husband and I are interested in purchasing a treadmill for our home. We live in an 800 square foot condo, and we are also on a budget. Some of the prices i've seen so far are absolutely outrageous. I was wondering if anyone knew of a decent treadmill for less than $400-600 range? Key features: The ability to fold up: We…
