Goals vs. Intentions
I read a Psychology Today article yesterday that really got me to rethink my goal-setting strategy where it concerns weight loss and fitness. So much so that I wrote a blog regarding this shift in perspective. Here is the link to my blog, which includes a link to the article:…

Why Goal Setting Doesn't Work
I wanted to share this article I read just now. I found it rather interesting, and definitely made me think a little differently about my "goals" versus "intentions". http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/wired-success/201104/why-goal-setting-doesnt-work

Happy to be Overweight!
It's taken over a year (I began my fitness journey in February 2010), but, as of this morning, I am now in the "overweight" BMI category, rather than the "obese" category!!! I couldn't be happier about this!!! Just had to share. :)

Mindful Indulging
"When I allow myself to admit the desire for what it is I find that the desire has less of a hold on me. I’m able to enjoy it and let it go, instead of clinging to denial, guilt, and a false self-image." Great article, thought I'd share... http://tinybuddha.com/blog/mindful-indulging-having-what-you-want-without-guilt/

Getting out some frustration!
SO HUNGRY these days! I seem to do pretty well throughout the day (weekdays at work), yet lose it and binge in the evenings and on the weekends lately. Seems to be tied to my emotions, yet again... maybe. My weight loss progress has been extremely slow going since January 1st, though I know I've become stronger and more…

I AM Good Enough, Just As I AM.

Mike is right. I need to share more of my downs as well as my ups, rather than my…
